Think this will be a pretty tight game. Both of us seem to have decent attacking options but wobbly at times defences. Ill say 2 1 to us.

Tight me hairy arse. We've been fucking dire and although I do expect us to get it right eventually, tomorrow is way too early.

We'll get butt-fucked

Nothing more Luton than losing tomorrow after the form you guys have been in the last two. And from what Im reading from your guys sometimes it would be very Swindon to win...

The old reverse psychology reasoning, eh.

Until the back 4 stop just lumping it forward when you've got a couple of nimble strikers who want it to feet we'll continue to struggle.

Oddly I remember saying something similar to the guys at work about us a couple of weeks ago against Crawley. AT the time we were top (albeit only three games in) having not lost a league game, and Crawley were bottom and without a point. It was just such a Swindon thing to go & lose.

SO yeah, it would be typically Swindon to go & sneak a win tomorrow, but like Dan I don't think it's going to happen

I'm flying abroad for a 2 week holiday so would be great to land and find out we've not lost.

That said I fully expect us to get our arses handed to us.

Think Luton will end up winning the league fairly comfortably. Not expecting anything, but 2 out of 2 on the road gives a glimmer of hope.

Heart says 1-1 draw but can see us shipping another 3 or 4 if we're not careful.

A team with good home form against a team with good away form. Perhaps Swindon don't feel the same pressure away from their home ground where expectations can be high. A home crowd can turn quickly especially against oppostion which on paper should be there to be beat. Something we have experienced a lot over the years.
Only two home games played but two decent performances and goals galore. Don't think we'll keep that up all season long and today may well be a little tighter. I feel that in our last two away games both Lincoln and Mansfield got their tactics right against us and a draw in both games was a relief.
We need the home support behind us today. They do make a difference. An early goal and I feel we should go on to win comfortably. However the longer the games goes on without a goal the more confidence Swindon will gain.
Hope Justin gets a game today. Can't afford to have that talent on the bench. Problem is where to play him. Our two full backs have played well and don't deserve to be dropped.
Still early in the season but a win today could see us gain some momentum. There are a lot of very winnable games in September so the opportunity for us to move into the auto spots is a real possibility, and even perhaps put some distance between us and some of our promotion rivals.

So you've both lost to Barnet already this season, l guess this game will be an indicator for 2 / 3rd place in the table - at best.

Think it could be big for us should we win today, the draws at Mansfield and Lincoln were fairly decent results butnthey look perhaps slightly less decent if we start dropping points at home. If we start doing that it begins to look a bit like last season, namely a decent side who play some nice football but ultimately an inconsistent one who drop points too often. Still early to make a judgement like that but I think that frustration would be there.

I wonder if we will stick with the 352 of go back to the diamond, personally I liked the 352 better and have never really been overly enamoured with the diamond so hope we go with that.

I'd also like Justin to get a game today but I don't think you can drop Stacey for it as he has been excellent in my opinion and it would send a poor message to him. I see Jones said about moving Justin to midfield in the week, not entirely sure that's a good idea, would rather we develop him as a full back than shunt him about just get him in the side.

An extraordinary number of former Swindon players have gone onto play for Luton since the two sides last played each other in the league, many moons ago in January 2008... Scott Cuthbert, Alan Sheehan, Paul Benson, Alan McCormack, Luke Rooney, Jonathan Smith, James Collins.

I can't see this being another high scoring match; I can see it being very tight, with perhaps Luton sneaking a win.

The problem with a diamond......
It can fool all but the experts.....
Who can spot the flaws........
And turn out to be just glass......

Very glib of you, as always, but as you well know we played it all last season with a mixed bag to say the least. And if you read on its more my preference to the 352 than anything else which drove the comment.

We have the players this season to play the diamond. We didn't last season.

But I certainly equally like the 3-5-2 as a plan B/alternative.

2 changes from the side that drew with Lincoln last weekend - out go Glen Rea and Luke Berry and in come Olly Lee and Andrew Shinnie.

I think that's fair enough.

Yeah that's fair enough, never thought I'd say it just a few months ago but pleased to see Lee come back in. He's been great to start the season.

We're going for it by the looks of the side today.

Front 4 of Woolery, Mullin, Anderson and Norris

Just when we need to really beef up the midfield!

Long way back from here. We were well on top before the penalty too.

Crowd not happy with the decision but I think it was right. You can tell from how players react usually and Cuthbert didn't complain at all.

More valid complaint was the penalty claim on Collins almost immediately after, shirt was clearly getting dragged back and ref didn't want to know.

Don't know what the stats say but think I'd prefer to be a goal down with 11 than have 10 and the opposition have a penalty, guess it's a difficult calculation to make in the heat of the moment but pretty frustrating as we were very much in control up until Cuthbert did that. I'm assuming he did as there weren't too many complaints from him. Lost our way a bit since and looks a tough hill to climb back as Swindon seem fairly organised

Seems to happen a lot to us over the last few seasons at home, be in control only to have the opposition get something from their first real attack of note in the game! Very frustrating.

I realise it's a spur of the moment decision but Cuthbert is a bloody idiot to get himself sent off there. Should have just let them score, Swindon look shit and I'd have fancied Luton's chances massively of coming back from 0-1. Now even a point will take a miracle.

Game's gone now. Jones's response to going down to 10 men intensely naive for me. 3 up top with 2 in central midfield with 45 mins left is crazy, we were only a goal down. Staying in the game is the first priority.

Terrible reaction by us to the sending off really. Everyone's lost their head including Jones his subs have left us so exposed . (and a Swindon fan by the looks of things!)

Really poor, not as good as we think we are.

Still at least we get to see Matt Taylor again.

Perfect away performance once they got and scored penalty versus ten men. We had more ball did nothing with it and they broke well and looked dangerous. Poor ref but we wouldn't have got anything with a good one. Hilarious reaction from our star man McCormack when ref told him off he just shooshed him away with a dismissive 'run along idiot' hand gestures. Crappy day but not end of the world

Well, that was a surprise after 2 horrendous home performances.

Sort that out and we can look forward to some progression. Away to Notts County in the week.

2nd half performance was really very poor from us. Totally lost our way, passes all over the place, stupid free kicks given you name it. Not sure what Jones was thinking to be honest, totally unbalanced the side with the half time substitution.

Just have to write it off as one of those games I guess but really we should be doing better, the team is talented but bar 2 games the performances haven't really been there

Always gonna be tough a man down and losing but we had to at least make a fist of it. Jones deciding to empty out the midfield wasn't a bold attacking move, it was completely naive bordering on ridiculous under the circumstances. Just a bad day all round (Although to be fair we looked half decent before the sending off, proper game turning moment but no complaints as I think it was the right decision).

One of those where the sending off changes the game. Nothing really happened for either sides until that point. I was at the wrong end so didn't see sending off, heard handball or shirt pulling. Anybody clarify? If it's the later then how the ref missed one on Collins two minutes later is ridiculous.
Very naive reaction, threw another striker on rather than try and hang in there. Then got caught on the break whilst pushing on.
Ref missed another pen for us early second half, how that handball wasn't given is beyond me.
I've said before if we go up it will be in spite of our defense. 4 penalties given away in last 8 games, 3 by Cuthbert. Needs to be addressed.
