Fantastic news simply on the basis that away fans might be allowed at some point next season.

I'm not convinced anyone in this league will be playing Macc next season.

Can Macc get thrown out of the NL after next season? Could do with as little relegation spots as possible.

Bet they still get the parachute payments even though not deserved after the way the owner has behaved.
The Chairman (and investor) has gone too, hope they can stabilise things for the fans sake.
Better for us, less travelling and another local derby, plus Macc are Alty's main rivals,..

Stevenage had been busily building a low to mid table NL team so good luck to them in League 2

Mixed feelings about this. Everyone hates Satanage, none more than our fans, but Macc are a basket case. Maybe we'll all be lucky enough not to play either.

Stevenage will now regret handing out all them contracts to bog standard non league players

Please stand back from the platform edge, the approaching club will not be stopping at this league.......

I think it's more than likely that Macc will get put straight into NLN the same as Boston were in 2007.

Might sound a bit irrational here but I'm not particularly bothered where we end up for as long as Amar's still around. Would much rather get it over with now and start again than see him slowly kill the club in either NL division. It's terrible for the club's creditors (including fans with refunds due) but I fear at some point it's inevitable unless a takeover pops up out of nowhere.

Would rather we didn't get any either, it's unlikely the players would receive any of it.

Would that mean a juggling about of the NLN and NLS, given Ebbsfleet would be the beneficiary? Or a smaller NL next season?

a reprieve for Ebbsfleet i would guess - but they could go either way IF they did put Macclesfield in NLN - but i'm guessing it looks better for the NL if their top division has a full allocation of 24 teams.

unless they run the NL with 23 teams then either NLN or NLS will be a team short - it could be a case of which league will have 23 teams instead of which team gets moved.

Doubt it, the NL will always keep step 2 smaller if necessary. Dartford received a very late reprieve in 2014 when Salisbury went under.

Ebbsfleet look more likely than not to get a reprieve now, UNLESS Macc's takeover happens very soon. Otherwise it's Macc into the NL North and Gloucester moved south.

thinking about it it looks like that as the North got 2 relegated into it and the south only 1 - IF Ebbsfleet are reprieved then it would be 3 to the North and none to the south - so 1 or 2 would need to go south.
Salisbury were expelled in 2010 and 2014 (by going bust) that must have been a NL 1st.

The problem is the chairman/investor hasn't gone - he's merely been removed from the chairman role but continues as majority share holder. All due respect i'd rather not be playing Alty, much prefer the likes of Port Vale, Bradford, Bolton etc

I don't think Gloucester can move. Some weird rule about not moving divisions until you spent 2 season in it or something. I might be wrong but vaguely remember it being a rule.

I think you’re right. I think this rule was introduced after Hertfordshire based Bishops Stortford were made to play in the NLN.

I'm not sure this is in the rulebook though. If it is then Brackley will have to move, which means they might get promoted for a change.
