Macron Stadium- Bolton Wanderers FC Ground Guide
How Easy Was The Ground to Get To (from the station, by car, etc)
There is a regional station near the ground but Ive never used it, always drove. The ground visible from the M61.
If Applicable, How is Parking Near The Ground?
Take my advice...dont park at the ground! It takes an absolute eternity to get out. As I come from Wigan, I drive through Wigan town centre to approach the ground from Westhoughton. Probably the best way, as there is loads of free parking on Dicconson Lane, just off the A6 Chorley Road. It's ideally placed for the Royal Oak too, as no other pub near the ground lets away fans in!
Based on Where You Were Sat, How Was the View?
Views are good all around. The upper tier is very steep.
How Were The Stewards on The Day?
They leave us alone, good stuff.
If You Ate at The Ground, How Would You Rate the Food?
Never ate in the ground
How Was The Atmosphere At The Ground, From Both Sets of Supporters? Does the Stadium Hold the Noise?
They have oddballs who run the length of the pitch waving a flag when they score...terrible.
How Are the Pubs and Local Attractions in The Local Area?
As above, most of the places to drink on the retail park dont allow in away fans. The Royal Oak on Chorley Road does carveries, has the early game on TV, and lets away fans in...cant go wrong.
Overall Score Out of 10?
Grim, the archetypal retail park stadium. Decent day if you know where to go, but not if you just stay close to the ground.
6/10
