There's that classic over compensating to let everyone know you supported City when they were shit. Even though you wouldn't admit to being a City fan until a couple of months ago.
I don't think I've ever seen a more bizarre TFF/1FF moment than a Macclesfield Town fan raising a ceremonial toast to Manchester City getting past the relegation points total in 2016.

Anyway (again).... Having only watched the game in and out, and now seeing MOTD. I'd like to know in what universe can a referee see a defender and an attacker racing for the ball, the defender slide in and take the attacker out, and give a goal kick?
Surely the only option is 'got the ball' or 'didn't get the ball'.
If he 'got it' it's a corner, and if he didn't it's a penalty?
