Silky, close your eyes.

This is honestly the most amount of empty seats I've ever seen at a Premier League game. It's actually a pretty big game too. There's got to be less than 50% of the seats filled.

The M62 is closed and the traffic is meant to be ridiculous in Manchester.

Yeah I heard the commentator mention it a little after I posted - something to do with an idiot parking his car on a tram line.

Probably a lost United fan, up for the tour.

Lots of pressure from City in the last few minutes, but can't get the end product right.

Know your audience, is what I always say.

Should have won that. Looked a couple of penalty shouts.

How do you not score with Aguero, Sterling, De Bruyne and Toure playing?

They should be docked points for that alone.

Hmmm. I'm lost. That doesn't fall under the 'made a meal of it' bylaw, it's slap bang in 'contact-town'....

So... Erm...

What the actual fuck?

Looks a penalty from that - perhaps his reputation going before him? Maybe the ref thought the ball was out of Sterling's reach.

In all seriousness though I think all the bitching and crying and conspiracies that you throw out in the to universe occasionally come back to bite you on the sphincter and when the force that controls everything in existence re-addresses that balance you actually tend to get a poor decision or two go against you.

Try being more objective in future, that's my advice.

In other news... I've celebrated getting to 40 points on enough occasions in the past to raise a historic glass to that.

There's that classic over compensating to let everyone know you supported City when they were shit. Even though you wouldn't admit to being a City fan until a couple of months ago.

I don't think I've ever seen a more bizarre TFF/1FF moment than a Macclesfield Town fan raising a ceremonial toast to Manchester City getting past the relegation points total in 2016.

It's definitely complicated.

Yawn. Textbook from The ncc though. Without an individual thought in his head he waits for someone else to comment, then leaps in like a little yappy dog.

Mr Slater. If you can find me, or tell me a quote where I have ever denied being a City fan, I'll write a donation cheque to Manchester United PLC.

Well Silks we all take this place very, very seriously as I'm sure you can appreciate. And for the longest time, the 'Supports' section of your profile suggested you were exclusively a Macclesfield Town cat. Now, omission is just as bad as lying and on that moral technicality I'd like you to post picture proof of your donation.

Thank you.

No. That isn't a denial. Unless you are lying about supporting Manchester United because you apparently support 'progress'.

Anyway (again).... Having only watched the game in and out, and now seeing MOTD. I'd like to know in what universe can a referee see a defender and an attacker racing for the ball, the defender slide in and take the attacker out, and give a goal kick?

Surely the only option is 'got the ball' or 'didn't get the ball'.

If he 'got it' it's a corner, and if he didn't it's a penalty?
