I can't believe City played Kompany 6 times in 20 days after he returned from injury. Such poor squad management for the amount of money spent.

Fortunately for City we're beyond hopeless. Can see us getting thumped.

Get knocked out by Liverpool in the Europa, lose to City in the derby.

Sayonara? It's the only piece of hope I cling onto regarding United. I will celebrate it like I just won the World Cup. I don't want to wait until they get knocked out of the FA Cup by West Ham.

Hello Mr Non Sequitur.

I'd probably have rested him for Norwich or even Kiev, but what's that got to do with 'the money spent'? Mangala was injured and only back last night.

Oh...

Hang on.

I forgot.

MEGALOLZ M8... Council House... Yeah... When the Arabs fuck off eh? BANTACULAR.

I'm blocking silkyman.

I'll just post something after every single one of your posts though.

Because that's in no way unhinged, creepy or odd.

It's a logical follow up because City shouldn't be risking the health of a player they've just brought back when they have spent so much money on the squad, particularly in that position. You even admit as much yourself.

Christian, why are you using logic and common sense in a conversation with Silkyman? You'd get more sense and level-headedness talking to a carrot.
But he is a carrot. Only carrots and turnips support Moneybags FC.

They spend big on two players in that position recently. One was just coming back from injury and on the bench to make up numbers and one played in the same games. Perhaps Demichelis should have played in one of them, but a guy who signed three years ago for less than £5m still doesn't fit with the 'for the money they've spent' agenda really.

You wouldn't rush back Mangala for Kiev away or either of the Liverpool games. I'd argue that you'd want your absolute strongest side against Villa, because after the Liverpool defeat you need a win. Big time.

Possibly rest someone against Norwich (although Kompany could have brought a deckchair to that. It was less strenuous than a training session) It was a managerial decision. He could have brought in Demichelis or Mangala, and perhaps he should have, for Kiev, but that was purely a managerial decision. The 'money spent' doesn't matter. You just need to mention it every time you post.

For the money spent on the team you shouldn't be relying on playing players like that when they're coming back from injury. I'd say the same about United. Of course you're going to get salty if anyone dares mention money in regards to City, no guesses why.

You could have played that young Manc lad that was praised for doing well against Chelsea, put Kompany on the bench as a fail safe.

"Should have played a kid who has come through the academy because you've spent loads of money..."

Right. Got you.

Erm...

Bantz?

No, you should have played Kompany for every minute since he came back from injury, 6 games in 20 days, until his hamstring pinged again. This despite having spent over £100m net in the Summer, £80m on central defenders not named Vincent Kompany and having options in the youth side to give those players a rest.

Awful squad management. Most City fans would agree. Seeing as you're not one you probably feel you have to go above and beyond to defend them, overcompensating.

Pretending the person you are debating with is going for a cheap laugh by replying with "epic bantz" or "good trolling" when they are arguing a sensible point is absolutely pathetic and the sign of someone in serious denial.

If you legit do a bit of wumming he bans you, if you try to discuss the football he gets petulant and claims you're trolling.

Can't be arsed with him anymore.

There's no reasoning with him, I'm afraid.

The "I'm afraid" part of that statement refers both to my disappointment in his lack of debating skills and petulance as well as my tangible fear that he may one day go mental with a gun shooting "rags" one by one while shouting "Aguerooooooooooooooooooooo" with a maniacal grin on his face before he turns the gun on himself.

I've said that in hindsight it would have been a good move to rest Kompany. Go and look. Up there. I'll wait.

Done?

Ok. I just argued that the money spent is irrelevent in this case because Ottamendi played all of those games anyway and Mangala was coming back from injury as well so was in all likelyhood less fit than Kompany. So the most likely replacement for Kompany against Norwich was MDM, who cost £4.1m three years ago, Sagna, who was a free transfer and at a rather large push, Adarabioyo.

So yes. I fully agree. He could and probably should have given Kompany a break against Norwich. But no, I disagree that it has anything to do with 'for the money spent' which you seem to stick on to posts about City like a nervous tick.

Because City spent a lot on two defenders then Mangala and Kompany should have been less injured? Does the spend on Sterling and KDB magically mean that Mangala should have adjusted to the Prem, or that Demichelis has been pushed into a more prominent position than you'd like from a guy who is in his 50s?

You can criticise City without mentioning money.

Oh do fuck off you boring c***. Have you really not got enough about you to come up with something better? Is that really the best you can do? Are you that feeble minded?

Wow Silkyman just comes across as a massive love muffin.

Why? Because I disagreed with someone about how pertinent 'money spent' is to the discussion on whether Kompany should have been rested against Norwich?

Where was I getting 'petulant'? I was making my point. Are we not allowed to do that? Does everything have to be 'troll and counter troll' in your mind?
