All City had to do was splash out an extra £8 on a birthday cake.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Oh well. Not that long ago that that was par for the course. I'd take four wins out of the next five any day of the week.

Carrick.Herrera and Fellaini is the most balanced midfield in the league. It's odd in that the most physical player is the most forwards and the most cultured the deepest but it's brilliant. Herrera is just a brilliant player, doesn't waste the ball at all but plenty of bite. Fellaini is just a nuisance and is so useful offensively and defensively.

Very true, our midfield hasn't looked so good in ages. All three of them compliment eachother so well. What a signing Herrera was.

Delighted for all of our goalscorers, they've all got their United careers on track this season and they're all pretty much undroppable at the minute. The best team won, City were all over the shop, I'll be very surprised if Pellegrini is still their manager next season.

That was some display by United. Absolutely smashed City all over the place once they got it back to 1-1.

I'm going to do the right thing and eat major crow concerning Young and Fellaini. Our best two players this season when at the start I would have happily got rid for nothing.

I really hope Citeh fans stick by Pellz through this difficult period. Surely he'll get it right next season.

Fantastic performance from ourselves once again. I was fearful because City came flying out and deservingly took the lead. After Young scored I just knew we were going to win. Played with so much intensity. City couldn't handle it. Confidence was oozing, and to be honest I felt more goals were there if we pushed a bit more. As already mentioned, our midfield is so well balanced and the players seem to have a great understanding. Herrera, Felliani and Carrick have been superb. Herrera sent Fernandinho for a fish supper a few times today. Really fancy our chances against Chelsea.

Opposing the pedestrianisation of Norwich city centre!!!!
Congrats to United, brilliant performance. City have been in a slump, but to put 4 past them is excellent for United. Contrasting fortunes for the respective managers. I really can't see Pelligrini at the Etihad next season if they can tempt a top manager. As for LVG, I've liked him since day one and he could conceivably get United finishing second in his first season. It's very encouraging for United fans. Were Chelsea not looking so good I'd have given United an outside chance of winning it, but Chelsea won't slip up. No trophy for United this season, but with the squad being strengthened in the summer I don't think it's inconceivable they could win the title next season.

Great result and good performance, largely were in control most of the game. City started superly and could have blown us away but as soon as we equalised we got a foothold in the game. Its no coincidence that since we played Mata and Herrera consistently which we all have been calling out for all season and a settled side that we would get results. Van Gaal has finally found his best side, I think Di Maria should be ahead of Young in our absolute best side but that said Young has been terrific and we should stick with the same side for the Chelsea game.

Reading Silkyman's breakdown on this thread with a good bru was worthwhile. What a little wally that man really is. He's somebody's Dad ffs. :D

United are a team on the up again and City are on the way down. The way it has been for 90% of Manchester's history.

For all the abuse you give him for supporting two teams, you've made 41 posts on here and every single one has been in the Premier League section.
Excuse me? Who on earth are you?

Why do you give him so much abuse?
I don't abuse him. Calling him a "wally" is not really abuse is it?

His life is engulfed by bitterness and anger. I like to try and lighten the poor guy's mood.

Neville got it spot on imo on MOTD2. Milner stopping his work on Carrick just stifled the City midfield. I'm not sure why that happened as then it's 3 (sometimes even 4 as Rooney came back deep for the ball which looked like a false 9 position) against 2 so naturally Utd bossed the game afterwards.

You make things far too personal. Silkyman's a wally, but he's OUR wally. So fuck off.

Entertaining derby fixture and Man Utd played very well to claim the three points !

Man Utd will be a force next season once LVG signs some quality defenders in summer.
