In all seriousness that was fantastic.

A wrongly disallowed goal, a penalty shout that wasn't a stonewaller but was giveable, two shots off of the post, thirty two shots, twelve on target and a kick in the teeth goal from the opposition and we still came away with the three points. Martial was excellent.

Regarding Zlatan's goal, does anyone actually know the rule well enough to judge? I mean, without looking it up he does go for the ball with his studs raised. I'm not entirely sure but I think that's a foul, period. Someone could look it up but the United fans seem unreasonably sure it was a good goal.

I think it should've stood. Zlatan always seemed in control of the situation and his boot was nowhere near Valdes' bald head. It was a brilliant piece of athleticism above all else. But all's that ends well.

It's dangerous play to lead your tackle with studs up, which is an indirect free kick.

In soccer, high tackling is considered as a "dangerous play" if an opponent is very close to the tackler and it is clear that the tackle is in a careless or reckless manner.

High tackle is not considered a foul but it is the manner in which the football player goes for the ball will determine how the referee will treat the tackle.

If the tackle causes the opponent to hesitate or prevents him for going for the ball, then a foul can be called. A high tackling is all down to the interpretation by the referee.

But it wasn't really a tackle and his studs were down before Valdes got near it. Seen him do similar to that a few times with no foul called.

With all due respect (basically none), I have much more respect for GB looking up the rule than you finding some well known Man United fans saying Zlatan was innocent.

But yes it was a good goal.
