Whild has always always been a good scout and good at finding players from lower levels which is why I think he's better in this role.

Galvanised for tomorrow then?
Hopefully we'll have to see we did still lose one of our best players today so time will tell.

What does Tim Flowers know about the Conference? Big gob Creighton probably had to go I would imagine.

I think Whild was a fantastic number 2 at this level and he was instrumental in finding the likes of Matty Blair, Jamille Matt among others. But I don't think he was a good enough manager. His tactics and substitutions have been baffling at times. Not sure how much of am improvement Flowers will be, but things can't get much worse.

Considering we probably can't afford to pay off 2 members of staff, I think Creighton out is the right choice. Seemed good at shouting at people, but not so good at the motivational side, which when your team is made of youngsters and is bottom probably isn't particularly helpful.

I do wonder what this "football operations" role is about and whether it's appropriate at this level, especially for a team who are struggling financially. Does it mean any more than constructive dismissal in this case?

I think he's effectively been demoted to assistant manager without having that title.

Signed some awful players during summer and they haven't fitted in at all. Hannah looks as though he doesn't want to be here, Shaw (from Alfreton) is a big disappointment and Chapell isn't arsed either. Best signing by far Sharps. Some of last season's better players haven't got going this. We don't have a keeper good enough for this level. Grimsby and Eastleigh to come this week and dare I say it he doesn't rate the likes of Thomson, Peers and Richards, who have all done well when called upon. Finally why is Rooney still taking penalties when he's missed 4 since he's been here?

:surr: What?! Jon Warnsop is a quality keeper. He may be going through a rocky patch but he will come good. I remember he started Last season terribly and took some flack but bounced back and made you eat your words I also remember on several occasion last season you were singing his praises. Namely Barnsley in the FA Cup. We will glady have Shaw back too?!

How long has John Rooney been at the club?

I'm happy with him, the only thing that is annoying me is his tactics and the style of play he's making us play at the moment, which I'm hoping will pass.

Mess about with it tippy tappy style in our own half for too long resulting in a slow build up, constantly playing in front of teams staring at a brick wall. We'll probably play through the bottom half teams like that but he needs to mix it up more against the top half, of which by the end of the week we will have played a fair number of.

See when he was here I think it was Whild/Guinan finding the players that we needed and Burr was left more with the tactics

John Rooney is coming up to about 21 /22 months with us. I like him and he was our leading goalscorer last season with 11, but he needs some help in midfield as we're weak in that area this season. We're missing James and mcconville. I hope Tom Shaw improves as he did better for you I suspect.

Problem is it requires a quality manager in order to implement the aforementioned 'tippy tappy'.

Would he work well without the budget he had before?...
His budget isn't massive here really, despite our crowds being like top six or seven, it's a bottom half budget. Improved us from a side that finished in a relegation place to top half last season, worked the loan market well.

Despite RB's gloomy post before, we're still just in the top half and after Saturday we'll have played 8 of the top 11, so I don't think he's doing badly at all really considering what he's got to work with.

He hasn't had the Millsiah's luxury of playing almost the entire bottom half. ;)

Blue and White are you one of the happy clappers? I'm a realist. If we're still top half after Saturday I'll buy you a few drinks next time I see you. I hope SB selects his best team tomorrow with players playing in their recognised positions and no more blunders from calamity John. Same result as last season would be a massive improvement on Saturday.

I don't view it as anywhere near as bad as you made out before is all, think that was quite some way over the top to be honest.

I don't think we've played particularly well all season really, bar the odd half here and there but we've still amounted a decent amount of points despite that, and I wouldn’t call the fixtures we’ve had as easy on the whole either.

My point is that there was a lot of media around Kiddy when he was there initially suggesting he was doing a fantastic job on a tiny budget, until they cut their budget not too long before he left, I think they've made statements about cutting their playing budget 3 or 4 times now, with something about it being less than half last seasons on the Non-League Show. (Not that I necessarily believe all of them have happened or were significant cuts...). It still implies that while it might not have been as big as the sides they were competing with, it wasn't as far below as they had done a good job of convincing people it was.

Not suggesting he has money with you guys, just that he did before at Kiddy.

Even before Kiddy's budget increase, did he still do ok? He seems to have overachieved with Clubs relative to their budget.

I was impressed by how Burr turned around Chesters season last year. Set up for a season in Conference North they looked awful for the first few months but he got them playing well and a 12th placed finish is not bad at all.

Burr has been living off his four good months at Kidderminster for too long now. Time to see what he's really made of.

He's in meltdown at the moment. He dashed off his line on Saturday after 5 minutes to catch/punch a cross and completely missed it and knocked Ben Heneghan out of the way, who had it covered. That's okay, but he's not holding his hand up to it and blaming Ben. Not the first time it's happened this season either. Was he so good for you? Didn't he make any mistakes?

He was extremely dependable with. Never made any big errors. The best keeper we have had for quite some time. Would happily have him back in a heartbeat. He will come good.

After all this about a management reshuffle in my opinion not one thing has changed. Since Tim Flowers took over he has not done one post match interview. Whild is still the person on the touchline giving all the instructions.

The only thing that has changed is Creighton has definitely gone. But something drastic needs to change soon
