Serious question, Bradford supporters. Would you not be thoroughly pissed off if the boot was on the other foot?
It is to any fool who accepts it. You and that other idiot Globule know nothing about Ryan Sparks yet make accusations that are simply not his modus operandi. We have just had an horrendous 4 years and announced that our player budget is to be reduced so to come out with a phrase like Billy Bigbollocks is the height of stupidity. I told one of your fellow fans a few months ago that you would safely stay up. Be thankful that I was right, crawl back into your burrow, and concentrate on your own situation. For the record, I have a soft spot for Barrow and Morecambe and hope both of you do well next season.

Fools, idiots, stupidity, self-pity and burrow crawling! Haul it in there, Ioz. All a bit first person personal.

My original post was born from deep dismay at our situation, our play-offs seemingly being undermined by someone with a loose tongue. I blamed Sparks because some of your guys on Bantam Talk were saying similar. Let's just see how it pans out.

You're not Ryan Sparks are you?

Really hope Clough does end up being a proper long-term appointment for Mansfield, anything to avoid all this

The reason Morecambe aren't denying it is pretty obvious: because it's either a done deal or negotiations are ongoing.
You'll have to bear with me cos I'm a bit slow but I think I've got it now, If the target is Adams. Ryan Sparks is jumping the gun for 1 of 2 reasons;
1) He is a liar and it is not a done deal
2) It is a done deal but he is reneging on his side of the bargain to keep quiet.
Obviously either way, he as asked the Scottish Sun to publish it. Good reasoning that. Can't understand why I haven't thought of it before.

Could beeee. Can understand your disappointment at what are only rumours. None of us Bradford fans know the situation so to jump to conclusions is not the most sensible thing to do. If Adams comes to us, he will see it as a stepping stone as he wants to manage in the Scottish prem. Even Ryan Sparks is using us as a stepping stone for his CV. He is ambitious and has told us he hopes to move on to bigger things. We have no problem with that. Big fish eat little fish etc.

I don't think you're slow, just a bit naive about how the press works.

Just a bit strange how Sparks told the local press he'd been in negotiations with Morecambe over Adams a few months back, but this time round there's no way he can possibly be the source of the leak...

I’ve heard we offered the job to Kenny Jackett but he has turned it down.

Moving on to talk to more candidates it seems.

Rob Kelly has turned down the offer to take our job full-time, so we're recruiting a new man.

Grateful for him keeping us up and an astonishing record in his games in charge, but wasn't looking forward to 46 matches of that style of football.

Not unexpected. Pressure on the current board then as the managerial appointments they've had to make in their tenure have been poor - they inherited Evatt and Dunn brought in Kelly as his assistant.

You missed out ; tosser, wanker and self-aggrandising.
:)

Ah, that was only 3rd person personal - (unless you are Ryan Sparks).

Anyway, don't think he's coming to you now. Somebody in the apparent know told me he is yearning for a return to Scotland as soon as he can. So based on that, he's either staying out his contract here or going to shaft your lot when he gets a too good to turn down approach from Elgin City. I think he still kept a house in Inverness in anticipation.

Ideally, who would you go for? Seems like you need some steady and settled period of managing.

One of our board members did an interview over the weekend with one of the fans podcasts, judging by his tone I'd expect an appointment at some point this week.

Derek Adams - is he any good do you know? :err:
but seriously - no idea... not Cooper hopefully or Hill.
John McGreal maybe - but that might depend on whether Tranmere want him or Dave Challinor?

Wellens in at Doncaster which only really leaves Adams in the frame for us.

Apparently Sparks has been liking some of Adams' LinkedIn posts so I'm assuming that's boiling some piss in Morecambe.

If Sparks is denying that he's been stoking rumours of Adams going to Bradford then liking one of his tweets is a very silly thing to do.
Depends on what the subject was, also what other posts he likes. If he is on twitter no doubt he will agree with a lot of different posters.

He's not denying anything, just not saying who is coming. I wonder if he is happy with the Adams talk for if it is someone else, Adams rumours deflect from whoever it is.

Steve Coppell lives in Surrey. He was our dof (ish) a few years ago but didn't want the day to day management thing.

Obviously Walsall are a bigger club than Crawley but it still seems a stretch to grab him out of semi retirement.

Well Sparks has just done a Q&A where he says the new manager was the one who did our retained list last week.

Surely Morecambe haven't allowed that?

It’s really horrible of Bradford the way they’re unsettling the Morecambe camp right before a massive playoff semi final. Bang out of order if you ask me...
