Think i would take that with a pinch of salt......top 10 who did you sign ...no offence i dont know Walsall that well

If you have a budget around the tenth in a league.....you wont be expected to get to the play offs or relegated.....what does he want
We are near the bottom when we shouldnt be is what he is getting at i think lots going on at the club receently anyway enjoy the 3 points saturday lol.

Very interesting. I wouldn't fancy facing Salford in the coming weeks with the bounce of a new manager.

I haven't listened, but apparently he was quite damning in his interview after the game on Saturday about how poor their warm-up was and said that contributed to the defeat.

To be honest, they seemed comfortable on the ball but appeared to have no real attacking intent whatsoever. It was telling how on a few occasions Henderson had to drop to the right-back position just to get the ball. We were good on Saturday, but they did make it easy for us at times.

Roy Keane must be favourite? Been at a few matches lately.

There's sad! for wellens and salford after all every shithouse club deserve a shithouse manager, but he wont be concerned as there is an idiot chairman somewhere who will offer him a gig.

Can't wait to see what the class of Nerdy2 pull out of the hat next.

I wouldn't be suprised if it was Roy Keane until the end of the season or something along those lines to be honest! Seems like they want a major shake up!

At Worst Scholesy will no doubt get his boots back on and take the team.

Gary Bowyer, apparently.

Neville told Wellens to ditch the possession based game and go hoofball. He refused.

They sacked Alexander because wanted to develop more kids long term didn’t they? Then boot Wellens.

They’ve just hit the ceiling a bit, can’t expect to walk leagues with the clubs so much bigger down here that easily.

Looked bang average both times against us to be honest.

Salford are in too much of a rush, that's their problem.

It's easy to throw money at it and get promoted in whatever non-league tier they started in but it has to become more targeting improvements as they go up the leagues. Their transfer business, on the whole, has been absolutely stinking really. They continually seem to opt for older 'for now' players and/or buy who they consider to be the best in their positions, not necessarily who'll fit in with their system...and a system is difficult to pin down when they're chopping and changing managers.

They sacked off Alexander because he was classed as too direct, went for Wellens who fitted their expansive attacking ways better and are now going for Gary Bowyer who, by all accounts, plays a pretty dull brand of football. They've got no idea where they're going. They're jumping around all over the place.

Given who the owners are and the money they have, they should be a massive pull but no top managers (for the level they're at) are ever mentioned and they're not going to be when they are getting a reputation for hiring and firing, have no training ground, have a mish-mash of a squad and seemingly no plan.

Players in the lower tiers are quite happy to pick up their £500 a week on top of their day jobs and train wherever for two or three evenings a week but the vast majority of professional footballers want to be spending their days in decent environments. Of course money is a consideration but if you're asking them to spend 4 or 5 days a week changing in a portacabin and having two fields to train on then they're unlikely to fall for the 'story' of Salford.

Despite having a newish stadium as well, their facilities, not just their lack of training ground, for supporters and around the stadium are horrendous apparently?

Sometimes Club's need to take a breather and have a season of catching their breath after a few seasons of continued success. A really boring couple of seasons with the same manager is what they need and will probably benefit them going forward.

Sure they said the opposite at the start of this season. Didn't they close their academy and say they were going to focus all their resources on getting to the Championship?

How long do we give Bowyer then? Think he'll last till the end of the season?

Bowyer only on 'loan' to Salford until end of the season. He will return to Derby in the summer.

Old pals act, Rooney helping out Neville.

Is this the first time a manager has gone on loan to a club, is it even allowed?

Tinpot Salford showing once again that the vanity project is a joke and like most other fans, hope it blows up in their faces again. The sooner they are back in non league football the better.

Colchester have loaned the Maldon and Tiptree manager haven’t they?

The set up there is awful, our fans were very unhappy as we sold out and it was like two temporary toilets for 1500 people. If you watch the latest documentary they train on a local park pretty much.

You’d think work on the set up now then build from there similar to Fleetwood.

Their signings have hardly been inspiring, some big names but usually injury prone or at the end of their careers, other than the ex Preston centre half who in fairness has seen them have a tight back line

I think mentally they still think they are playing the dog and duck every week and it will be a stroll but this is the big boys leagues now.

I reckon it’s the other way round. They know, essentially, that THEY are the Dog and Duck.

not surprised they've struggled in league 2 compared to their rapid rise in non league. its all well and good having unlimited budgets but how to keep players and staff happy knowing that they're on such a short lead? any player there knows that the next manager in us unlikely to last 12-18 months, they also know that there'll be players coming in on significantly more money regularly and that from when you sign as a starting player, they're already probably working on replacing you with someone with a higher reputation in a higher league.

Three words sum up Salford City and their probable future.

Mark Yates is technically on loan to Solihull from Stourbridge due to the latter's season being voided.
