Why we dont play short corners more often I've no idea, ten times more dangerous. With Herrera on now for second half I expect us to take a bit more control and hopefully can link up more and seal the game.

Agree with all of that. Also Van Gaal needs to get over his obsession with having a right footed/left footed centre back pairing. It is insane that he picked the utterly useless Jonny Evans over Smalling who on the whole has done quite well this season, for the above mentioned reason.

Its so perplexing how LVG keeps going on about needing pace and quicker passing and yet doesnt play the only player in the squad that can do it consistently in Herrera. We have Rooney struggling to influence things in midfield and a forward partnership which offers nothing. Herrera, Mata and Rooney were showing good understanding in our good run a while back. I'd like to see us try out:

Herrera-Mata-Di Maria
Rooney

OR

Blind
Herrera-Di Maria
Mata
Rooney Falcao

I think Falcao would thrive alot more with Rooney alongside him and a chance to make more runs. Mata, Herrera starting and Rooney up front are musts for me.
