Should be a good match this with Exeter coming off the back of the derby day win and ourselves finally scoring goals

2-2 draw.

Fuck knows how we will line up. Tisdale surprised everyone by dropping top scorer Tom Nichols and the epic Clinton Morrison for Saturday's derby and replacing them with Jamie Reid and Ollie Watkins, both of whom have less than 5 starts between them in their careers. Plus we still have injuries with Manny Oyeleke, Joel Grant and Alex Nicholls all missing on Saturday and Lee Holmes was only on the bench.

Mansfield have done well this season and we'll hopefully be able to get our ball players into the game otherwise I can see us losing here.

I'll go for 1-1. Morrison for us and Collins for the Stags

It's basically a lucky dip from 8 attackers at the moment. We'll probably line up with 3, maybe 4 from: Wheeler, Nichols, Nicholls, Holmes, Morrison, Grant, Watkins & Reid.

Nothing to fear. Only 3 points seperating us in the league so I'd like us to win to see us draw closer to the playoff pack. Hope we may sneak something.

1-0 win, Jamie Reid grabbing a second half winner.

I wouldn't be surprised to even see us line up without a striker these days. I think Tisdale just pulls 11 names out of a hat and lets them play wherever they want...

I think David Wheeler, Jordon Moore-Taylor and Troy Brown will all play. The rest of the team I have no idea about. After Harleys performance against Argyle he should be the first name on the team sheet but knowing Tisdae he won't even make the bench.

Mansfield have just tweeted this in reply to a question from Exeweb:
No tickets will be sold to away fans at tonight's game. However you can purchase tickets from Exeter before 12pm and collect from us

Absolutely ridiculous decision. Fucking Mansfield??? Who do they think they are?? Fuck off shitty little tinpot club.

Every game at Mansfield is all ticket due to conditions put in by the Safety Advisory Group, nothing we can really do about it however you can go up and they'll give you a ticket regardless.

You will get a ticket if you travel up. It's stupid as fuck but like Stags says the SAG have us bent over.

Mm, a mature and heartfelt plea there.

Of course, we the supporters and our crappy all ticket hindered gates are obviously thrilled at having to continually piss about at purchasing pre-match tickets for games that third fill our stadium, every single game.

Bit upsetting that you too can't see the massive benefits from such a clever idea.

Hahaa. Like I said a lucky dip. The 3 forwards we started against Plymouth aren't playing so we've put in a different set of 4 attackers.

Good win for us. Nice to get a clean sheet and it's encouraging to continue to win even after making 5 changes.

Commentators said Mansfield were very direct so somewhat suprising we seemingly coped so well with it as coming up against those sort of sides is usually our achilles heal.

Any thoughts on the game, Mansfield fans?

Yeah there is a guy called pete. If you go on exeweb and find a guy with the username PeteUSA he will give you some good viewpoints.

Without wanting to hijack this thread anymore, please tell me this is the actual Pete?! Had Pete do the commentary for us tonight at Plymouth and it was.. well... the most hilarious/ woeful thing I've ever heard.

Slightly back on topic, cracking win for Exeter that.

Not really a surprising win for Exeter.

Murrays dull, defensive tactics with no imagination and no element of attack is beginning to seriously hamper us, go fucking attacking Murray! Ffs.

Exeter did what all decent sides will do to us at field mill - wait for us to play our football, fannying about in midfield with no goal intent at all as green is completely isolated and it's obvious for opposition managers/scouts.

Go 442 for gods sake Murray, after how good we were in the 2nd half Saturday, that was completely inexcusable.

In general, given our abysmal home record under him it's a surprise we've held our false position in the playoffs for some time, we will start to fall to a more realistic position.

May I stress I do fully believe in Murray in general, but he HAS to be more adventurous at home

naah im just yanking your chain man. unfortunately the janners are a thick bunch, not surprised it was abysmal coverage, the only surprising thing about it in fact is that you could understand him at all.

Great win and sounded relatively comfortable.

Pleased that Grant scored and setup one, as did Holmes against his hometown club. Holmes will be key for us so just hope his niggling injuries are over.

As I said up thread, fuck knows what team Tisdale will field one game to the next. Bristol Rovers won't have a clue how we will line up on Saturday but it's nice to have plenty of depth going forward.

A clean sheet is nice too and 6 pointe from 2 very tough looking away games is superb. We just need to keep this going now for as long as possible.

Fucking woeful, we were awful. The team decided to pass it around the back when we were 2 down... clever shits. Well done Exeter.

Absolutely embarrassing from Mitch Rose tonight.

We were very pedestrian tonight, and ran out of ideas after half time. A complete contrast to Saturday against Hartlepool where we played very well. It's what we expected though, we're inconsistent, because we're a mid table side currently.

Fair play to Exeter, however bad we were, they were very good. Best side I've seen this season. Got some very good attacking players, and their midfield is very good. They ll finish in the top 7 this season.

Shame to see people say we're long ball (which we were last night). We've not been like that at all this season. That was our worst home performance of the season.

Rose is not a right back. He was shite In that position against Yeovil. Either get someone in or play Marsden.

Rose being there means McGuire has to start aswell. I can't believe we dropped Clem for him at home.

I was surprised by the comments as this season you've all said how Murray's got you playing better football. Just one of those nights I guess where for some reason it doesn't click.

Lethargic, lacking any degree of urgency and generally off the boil from us. Undoubtedly the worst performance of the season by a out of town furlong or six.

However, Exeter were excellent; tidy, intelligent, hit us on the break with quick and incisive movement and exploited our completely shambolic performance. They also dealt easily with our powderpuff attacking efforts and thoroughly deserved the points. They look a useful side.

Back to square one for us, and a real need to review quite why we went for such a defensive set up at home to a side that was sitting mid-table pre-kick off; which put us on the back foot from the first whistle. Everything about the night was something to urgently forget from our pospective. On to Saturday.

Well in short, you didn't see us last season. Any form of ability in passing, shooting or running - or anything involving football would be an improvement on last season.

What our grips with him is that he set us to play at home around you, where he should have been saying (while obviously being respectful, you had just beaten Plymouth away) were in the playoffs and at home, let's go attacking and let them worry about us. That was our issue - or mine - other stags fans might think differently.

What murrays issue is with marsden after he finished last season so well confuses me

Yeah there is a guy called pete. If you go on exeweb and find a guy with the username PeteUSA he will give you some good viewpoints.

Each to his own. Personally I think that PeteUSA is one of a cabal of wildly hysterical and vitriolic posters who give the impression of loathing just about everything at the club and round on anyone who disagrees, to the extent that I and many others gave up on our abortion of a forum long ago.

At various times they've lambasted just about every player and aspect of the club that I can think of; Tisdale (P.E. Teacher) Harley (too lightweight) Matt Taylor (Southern League Oil tanker) David Noble (Fancy Dan who does too many stepovers) Matt Oakley (what the f**k does he do?) Steve Perryman (ditto) Sercombe (can't pass, can't shoot, can't tackle) Mackie (headless chicken) The Trust (blamed for the fact we haven't reached the championship like Yeovil) and many, many, many more. Although they dive for cover if you mention it now, the worst of them even slagged off Stanno at one time for not scoring enough goals.

Anyway as far as I'm aware there is no Pete at Radio Devon - certainly not among the on-air team at least. PeteUSA is an entirely different individual who remarkably, has no difficulty in expressing the aforementioned technicolour opinions even though he lives 4'000 miles away and hardly ever sees a game.
