Hoping for a good attacking exciting match but can see this being a miserable 1-1.

Blair Adams has gone back so I expect a makeshift lb in there.

I am confident for some reason, I think after last weeks anal raping we got 2nd half Murray will go at these from the off. They've not scored in 4 games, New manager or not at home there's no excuses. If he sits back again I'll be pissed off.

3-1 to us

We have no left back and Luton have just signed Alan Sheehan. Bastards!

Have we? First I've seen of that, isn't he a left back? Not sure that would be a position that needs looking at, not saying it's a position of strength but definitely think other positions need addressing first.

Anyway we never win at Mansfield and this isn't the season we are going to break that run so I think a fairly comfortable Mansfield victory on the cards. Would like to see us score a goal, going 5 games without a goal would be completely unacceptable.

I don't like when fans of other teams are so confident of losing. It never happens unless it's us!

*in the league.

We won there in the league cup in '89.
Yes, something like 3-4. You then beat us 7-2 on your plastic pitch, if I remember correctl? Luton were a division 1 (now Premier League) side and had some good players then.

Luton never won a league game at the Mill? Not scored in 4 games? Got a Luton win written all over it!

Mansfield Town 0-1 Luton Town

Paddy McCourt with his first for the club. 6 hours, 6 minutes and 6 seconds since Luton last scored a goal.

Sounds like a decent game on the radio which is a novelty where we are involved. McGeehan sounding involved and threatening which is a big positive.

Mansfield 0-2 Luton

Pelly, Pelly Pelly, Pelly Pelly, Pelly Ruddock.

Two goals from players who haven't started since October.

Sounds a great goal from Pelly, had been doubting whether we would see him again so delighted he is making his way back.

Luton looked a reasonably good side and were comfortable throughout. However, they didn't have much opposition. We offered nothing all game. No width, no threat, no idea. You can only beat the team that is put in front of you so fair play to Luton. Thoroughly deserved win.

Didn't know Paddy McCourt was playing for Luton. Not a fan of him being ex-Celtic but a decent finish all the same. Mansfield were dreadful, a few attempts on goal but nothing special.

That's much more like it. Actually looked like a team, trying to play football pretty much for the first time in months. Several players had their best games of the season. Personally I thought that only CMS and McGeehan didn't really get into the game as much as they could, although I know others will disagree. Work rate high all over the field. My MoM was Lawless in centre mid, with Cuthbert a close second.
Of course there is still a long way to go, but there were plenty of good signs today.

Our players actually decided to turn up today. Good signs, even more so with a fit and firing Pelly.

I think we can officially called it a slump that we're in now. We look a shadow of the side that we'd become and to be honest I think teams have sussed out that there's only one way that we play, and if we fall behind we really struggle creatively to get 3pts from a game.

Adam Murray has a challenge on his hands to save the season becoming a bottom half of the table disappointment now. His team looks lost and devoid of ideas.

We're just a different team all together.

- Chapman needs to stop with his hollywood balls as none seem to pay off.
- Whenever the opposition has a set piece, everyone is back... what's that all about at home?
- When Green has the ball everyone else is nowhere to be seen.
- Sloppy defending errors keep costing us
- We also look very static when in the opposition half and no one looks to move for the ball.
- Clements is sitting way deeper than he was in the start of the season also.

Just wondering when we are going to start attacking football at home then like he said 3 weeks ago. Can't recall a shot at goal from our lot yesterday. Murray needs to stop being a strubborn c*** with this 4231 bollocks and get someone up top with Green. Constant direct balls into the channels for Green to pick up then he's expected to take on an entire defence. It's fucking woeful, and Murray wants to fuck off blaming the fans every week.

Biggest gate of the season and once again we don't turn up.

Thing is, it's not even about having two up front. Luton had one up front yesterday. Difference being, Mackail-Smith can hold the ball up & he then had 3/4 players supporting him. We have nothing like that.

Baxendale & Lambe didn't do enough yesterday to get close to Green (not that he was great anyway). Don't even get me started on Rose, I really don't see what he brings to the team at the minute. Chapman (who needs dropping) & Clements are too similar, need something different in there.

We were shocking though yesterday. Fair play to Luton, who took their chances.

Did I hear Nathan Jones in an interview say we'd sold Luke Howells to Stevenage?

Several times, even after Statto had put him right at one stage.
