I think they'll beat us. Our home faithful are going to get restless soon if we don't pick up a home win and because we are playing Crawley, The worlds best Sunday League team they';; be expecting that home win this weekend. If it's not going our way then no doubt they'll turn.

We have been poor at home, Green has no support and even when we do get a lead we sit back and get punished for it. Murray say's we are going to attack this weekend though so who knows. Crawley haven't conceded in 3 games that included playing Wycombe, Cambridge and Pompey who are all sides who have been tipped to do well. Also have had a draw with Oxford who are a good side.

55 minutes in. 2-0 up. BBC has got Crawley at 65% possession. Is that right?

I honestly think these stats are made up, Crawley never had the ball.

Outclassed them in every department for every minute, Really good team performance today COYS!

Crawley were terrible, easily the worst ive saw in the league since we were promoted.

Excellent again from us, just wonder where we could have been had we been this adventurous in our other 3 home games.

12 points from 7 is a fucking excellent start, playing 442 worked a lot better. Luton away and Plymouth at home await, anything more than 3 from those 2 games and I'll consider us better than just having a good start to the season.

Id not be surprised to see Crawley go down

Crawley are a better team than we were last season.

Really delightful and positive performance from us, showing Joe Public that we do have the quality to produce some lovely joyous stuff.

A massive refreshing blast to us Stags fans that had become accustomed to gnawing on our feet for ninety minutes whilst suffering mindnumbing industrial anti-football.

Was really surprised at how poor Crawley were. Hope for their sakes that today was a blip for them, because we ought to have racked up a cricket score. If it's to be their usual fair then it could be an awkward campaign for them.

How is Nathan Thomas doing? Noticed he scored yesterday

Thomas had been a starter after impressing during pre-season, however, he lost his place after being fairly ineffective in the first few games.

Yesterday he returned in a more expansive formation and was outstanding, completing his performance off with a cracking goal.

He undoubtedly has the talent, it's whether Murray has the ability to nurture it. Signs are positive.

He was cracking yesterday. Only Clements was better IMO. Crawley were terrible but looking at the results they've picked up this season it was quite impressive to beat them so convincingly. It should of been a few more to be fair.

Had the score been 6 or 7 it would have been an fair score, we probably laid off them a bit after we went 4 up.

Thomas had a good game.

Mansfield looking a real threat this season, what has changed for you this time round? I must say I didn't expect you to be doing good after last season.

Bit early yet, still got a inexperienced manager and a serious lack of depth in the squad.

No doubt we have been underestimated though to a small degree, made some good signings this summer.

I think we're heading the right direction. We'll lack the depth in the winter months imo with the young pros not ready yet.

Any team that pressurizes our midfield will find out that we are awful. Our second touch is a tackle if you get about us.

The defenders are ok for this level but by hassling the midfield you will cause us to give the ball away in really bad areas which means we will concede goals. Our forwards don't get in the box enough either so we are left with the scarey scenario of letting in goals and not scoring any.

The games I've seen this season causes me to think we will struggle but we should stay up. Losing 4-0 at Mansfield is 2 goals too many but roughly what I expect.

Well done the Stags.

If we get lucky with injuries Id say we have an outside chance of the playoffs, but we will probably fall a bit short.

I tend to agree i think we have to be very fortunate with injuries to contend in promotion / playoffs especially as most of our squad players are newly promoted Pro's who are more likely are in a development season similar to how Jack Thomas was last season. Personally I think a mid table finish is likely somewhere in the region of 10th - 15th.

As has been said I don't think any of our camp regard ourselves as a real threat, but who knows if we keep key players fit. To answer what has changed, Murray I think has made us a lot more professional. Over the summer he cleared out pretty much the whole squad and assembled his own along with his own back-room staff, including coaches and roles we didn't have before. Under Cox players were frozen out and there never was a coherent team spirit unless we were doing well, Murray's got a tight knit squad and there's just a different vibe coming from the club.

We're barely into the season though as other Staggies have pointed out and being realistic finishing in the top half of the table would be brilliant. As long as we improve on last season and there's room for progression with a few more performances like Saturday then that'll do me.

Whats changed? 14 new players thats what, were a totally different team now that can actually play football. We should be aiming for around the playoffs if we get lucky with injuries.
