Considering that he consumed prodigious amounts of Columbian marching powder for many years, it's a miracle he reached 40 let alone 60. The best player of my lifetime (IMHO) and if you have any doubt of his talent, watch the 2019 documentary of his life.

that's the thing. So many issues, but still one of the best players ever.

The documentary mentioned above is worth viewing. Despite his flaws, he did an enormous amount of good for communities, the poor, and children around the world.

Point I saw made which I reckon is true is what made him great was he did it with by and large average players round him and at a time when he just got kicked to fuck most games.
