Play like we have done and we will finish March with 0 points. Will take optimistically say 15/18, just to make it entertaining.

Well simple as. This month will determine whether we stay up or not for me

Kidderminster (H) W
Dartford (A) D
Lincoln (H) W
Chester (H) W
Dartford (H) W
Barnet (H) L

Must pick up a minimum of 10 points from this month IMO.

A lot of games to play due to cup runs, Aldershot will have to be rearranged due to the final so a very very busy last 2 months for us

Looking at our fixtures the only date the Aldershot game can move to is the last tuesday of the season, Which would mean we would be playing every Tuesday night until the end of the season

Four away games and a fair few hours on the road for us this month...

Woking (A)
Chester (A)
Eastleigh (H)
Dover (A)
Welling (A)

...hopefully Braintree will take at least a point off Macc on Tuesday as that'll mean staying in 3rd place will be in our hands. While those two 1-0 home wins against Telford and Braintree in our last few matches mean that we've now picked up more points at home, we've played two less matches away so our record is still better away from Blundell Park. However, after our last two playoff failures getting into the top three and ensuring the second leg is at Blundell Park has to be of paramount importance. These fixtures aren't ideal, but they could be a lot worse. Trickiest looking one is up first. Will be a great result if the worst Grimsby team ever can go there and make it four straight victories.

Only four games for us this month, several less than almost everyone else, which may be to our advantage.

Barnet (A) - Draw
Braintree (H) - Win
Woking (A) - Draw
Lincoln (A) - Win

That might seem a little overly optimistic but results have been good so far this year, unbeaten in January and February. The team is now fairly settled and hopefully won't see a repeat of the meltdown of a couple of seasons ago when a play-off place seemed possible. I think that the game next Saturday is key, easily the hardest fixture remaining this season, get something from that and the pressure really will be on to maintain current form until the end of the season. It is always nervy being the chased team, especially if the chasers start to build up momentum, but there are two teams on long unbeaten runs at the moment and they are both from the West Country and called Rovers.

Season defining month. As I've said in other threads, on paper our task is hard this month, easier next month. If we can be top at the end of this month or within a couple of points, we've got a chance.

Eastleigh - Home
Halifax - Away
Aldershot - Home
Macclesfield - Away

Got to hope for atleast 8 points. Eastleigh will be tough but I always back us at home, beat Aldershot at home and points in the away games, anything more will be a bonus.

Tough month for us, beating Southport at home is vital and we probably need to beat Halifax or Dartford too! Can't see us getting anything from Bristol Rovers or Macclesfield.

Looks like the Wrexham game will have to be on the 21st April as Wrexham don't have any more Tuesday night's free. That or it will be a Thursday night!

I'd fancy you to win a Kiddy and depending which Wrexham team turns up maybe us, Barnet don't perform to well away to top half teams, 9 points realistically possible there, 3 other games to pick up 3 points

I think there's definitely some fixtures in there where we can end our poor run of form and hope we may be able to nick a draw against Eastleigh as defensively we're looking okay at the moment. There's probably a few more 0-0's this month.

If that happens then the play-offs will be a serious possibility. Fancy us to get something against Grimsby for a change, I think we're due a late winner this time. Probably the biggest game in that lot is Dartford on Tuesday which is one of our games in hand on FGR. Win there and that's back-to-back wins and a bit of confidence ahead of Grimsby. It would be great if we were in a position to potentially leapfrog FGR with a win when we come to play them.

Edit: Should add too that Torquay at home will probably be rescheduled for sometime this month.

A minimum of 10 points is somewhat unrealistic. It would put you on 44 points with five games still to play. Really you just need to focus on not losing to Dartford. Welling's next fixtures are Alty (H), Gateshead (A), Lincoln (A), Barnet (A), Grimsby (H), Woking (A), Eastleigh (H) and Kiddy (H). They've lost seven in a row as well, so they're basically gone. I think that one of Southport or Nuneaton will survive along with you.

Agree with Sparrow, i think Alftreton need to aim for at least 6-8 points from the Dartford to Dartford games, if possible.

We don't win away from home anymore, so that leaves a maximum of 6 again. Mind you, we're not winning at home either now! Or scoring...

Have you seen our final 6 games though Welling (H) on the penultimate weekend aside you dont want to needing to pick up points from these games.
(Barnet (H)
Wrexham (A)
Grimsby (H)
Eastleigh (A)
Welling (H)
Bristol Rovers (A) . Could easily lose 5 of those. So picking up 10 points as I say would leave us on 44 and a win against Welling would then put us on 47 which will just about be enough iMO. If we gained 6-8 points that would leave us on 40-42 and a win v welling would puts on 45 which probably wont be enough. This month is huge for us.

I still don't think you need a minimum of ten this month. I wouldn't be surprised if 20th stayed up with 45 points or lower.

It could potentially be rather good if you needed say a 0-0 draw on the final day....

7/15 would be reasonable, I think. Not expecting much in the two away games. As long as we win a couple of home games and not get beat on our own patch then we'll be fine. Beating Southport is key though.

Be interesting to see if we have a new manager in time for any of these matches. The longer it goes on, the more I think Barker will be in charge until the end of the season.

Well we need to win our next 3 - Braintree (A) tonight, then Aldershot and Telford both at home on satdy and next tuesday.

Then a tough one at Gateshead, would take a draw, but most likely need to win it. Nuneaton at home follows so must win that, then finish the month with the biggy, Brovers at home - MUST WIN!

I'd say we need to win 5 and draw the other (16/18) to get back in contention for the title, but dont see it happening more likely 14 from 18, then we're hoping everyone else has been worse.

Think that would rule us out of the title race but give us a good base going into a tough April. However, we need to be a playing much better football to acheive even this!
