He's scored three in two games for Gillingham on loan from Millwall, looks really lively and exciting, Are you going to be wanting him back soon?

In a word, no. He's got a wonderful attitude and if we do go down (as looks likely) I'd expect him to be involved at League One level but he just doesn't quite cut it in the Championship. I'd say it's highly unlikely that we'd recall him this year. If anything I'd say there's a good chance that he'd be allowed to leave the club if someone made us a half decent offer (say 50-100k). Lovely bloke by all accounts.

'He just doesn't quite cut it' doesn't quite cut it. He is woefully out of his depth at our current level. Like Matt said, though: great attitude.

Harsh, IMO. Yes he hasn't done it when played at our current level, but which strikers have done for us during this stint in the Championship? Chris Wood is about the only one. Certainly Marquis is no worse than Fuller or McDonald up front!

I remember him scoring an absolute screamer when you beat us 4-0 in our relegation season live on Sky :(

That was Josh McQuoid, Tom. He is now scoring for fun at Premier League Coventry.

I couldn't disagree more with the Fuller comparison, Matt. Fuller is on a different planet to Marquis and has been far more productive, despite the fact that he is about 80.

We were doing fine until Khumalo went off, decent defender him.

No idea why Spurs still have him on their books though.
