Our game with Wimbledon on a Tuesday night last season was subject to a probe to do a couple of match fixers - thankfully for whatever reason it didn't materialise and the outcome they wanted didn't occur.

Not nice to be so closely involved with it.

Accrrington Stanley at home. We won 4-0 but what will live long in the memory is the incredible performance of the Accy goalkeeper who got himself sent off after a catalogue of errors.

How much can we say here anyway without potentially getting the site in trouble?

I watched a game between REDACTED and REDACTED at Wembley Stadium where John Terry dropped his shorts and REDACTED on a REDACTED REDACTED REDACTED. It was REDACTED REDACTED and I remember a lot of people say it smelled fishy at the time.

The time we played Crawley in League Two, never seen such a one sided referee in my life.

Honourable mention to Calvin Zola who tried all he could to miss from three yards out but scored in a 3-2 defeat to Bury where we had 2 men sent off. Gudjon's last game!

I completely forgot about it but when we had one of the Sodje's a couple years ago he punched a Oldham or Bury player below the waist. I know he got charged with it but no idea if he got found guilty.

Something was going on at Oldham-Southend, last away day a few years back in League One.
It started off like training game, no one seemed to want to tackle or do anything than pass it sideways. Then suddenly Oldham got near our box a bit of shoulder to shoulder and the ref gives a penalty. The Oldham players looked aghast, i was expecting it to be missed, the Oldham player tamely hit it, but clearly our keeper wanted it in so dived out of the way. It was the way we equalized that made me think something odd was going on. About 5 minutes later Southend got towards the box and not one Oldham player made an attempt to tackle Lee Barnard, the last guy even got out of the way when he was about 5 yards out, keeper made no effort and it was 1-1 - our players barely celebrated. The game was just a procession after that nobody even had a shot from inside about 25 yards, and the shots that did come off were utterly off target. A few must have had money on a draw.

I'm sure our squad have been doing it all season because it's surely physically impossible for professional footballers to be as shit as they've been.

When we played away at Forest Green last season, they'd suspended betting on the game the day before as absolutely loads of money in China had been put on a double with CUFC HT/FGR FT, and a match somewhere in Asia with the same conditions. The Asian game was on the Friday night and came in thanks to goals in stoppage time at the end of each half, and about 35 minutes into our game the day after at 1-1 we got a penalty and everyone's thinking there might be something up. Of course, we are shit at penalties and so missed, and about 5 minutes later FGR went down the other end and took the lead which either meant the whole thing was bullshit (likely), or someone properly buggered up.

how did that one slip the net? thought they get vetted on where they live, were born and who they support????
He should never ref a U's match but not because he's from Cambridge. He's "born and bred" Scumborough and a leading light in the Peterborough Ref's Association. :msi:

Did Mick Harford like really admit it was a deliberate og on radio? It takes a man with balls to admit to something like this, even though I presume he was retired at the time. Oh, by the way, that's one ugly Derby strip right there.

The game vs Luton at Kennelworthless Road where the pitch doubled up as the local swimming pool. Should never have started, then the referee was going to stop it but strangely continued after a talk with Ronnie Henry.

That game was 18 months ago now - time to get over it! :bye:

Was the conditions not the same for both sides? Would you be moaning if Barnet were in a winning position that day - of course not!

Well seeing as this thread is about things that happened in the past, think it's fine for me to bring up a game that happened in the past!

The conditions were exactly the same for both sides, you're completely right. And no, I wouldn't be complaining. However, I would still be wondering how on Earth that game even started, and how on Earth your captain managed to convince a referee to change their mind. No complaints from me in that post, in fact I'm quite pleased we didn't have to return to that shithole of a stadium for a rematch :2thumb:
