Exactly - as if Ashmore needs to be told to cheat! The low point was when he went down like a sack of spuds after claiming he'd been hit by a coin against Maidenhead. I don't think the coin was ever found....

That was truly dire for eighty minutes followed by a bit of class coming off the bench and two lovely goals.
I was seriously thinking of joining the Ardley out crew tonight, it was that bad.
Defence is pretty solid though.

Rawlinson and Lacey are a class pairing and it doesn’t seem to matter who plays at full back, they’re all solid. Remains a complete mystery why Ardley broke them up for the play-offs last year.

To be fair, we’ve conceded three goals in ten games now, and only one of those from open play. He’s got that bit right at least.

Our goals both came because the defence decided to just bypass the two man sideways pass wall in central midfield and go straight to the forwards themselves.
