As a neutral grimsby v fgr is the standout closely followed by our recovery being severely tested by freescoring bromley.

Chester v wrexham will bring out their pretend hooligans otherwise known as their dulltras.... We may even get to laugh at chesters teenage army shouting insults from behind the safety of a police cordon again!!

Eastleigh braintree will be a cracker too, the only mystery of this round of fixtures is how an executive on a 6 figure sum decided guisely v lincoln was the pick? I think it would be the worst of the week if it wasnt for alty v barrow..... Perhaps his hand slipped when he pput the pin in the fixture list

I applaud your optimism Mark :10:
Although i'm really not sure how we'll play tonight - cagey or all out attack from the off, probably the former

Guiseley v Lincoln should be interesting, especially having put money on The Imps making the play-offs this season. Will be good to see how that's shaping up.

I like the fact that BT are trying to share coverage around, so good choice of game, probably Guiseley's first live TV appearance?

It's very hard for Lincoln to make the playoffs Chris, due to the fact that they're terrible away from San Sincil. That's the main reason I always predict them to finish anywhere between 12th and 18th come May. It's almost like they think they're still a league side, as it's pretty common for L2 sides to take a cautious approach when on the road, but then go all out when playing at home. This simply doesn't work in the conference, that is if the club has promotion aspirations.

OTOH, tonight should be interesting, as apparently Guiseley do take a somewhat cautious approach at home too, so Lincoln could get something.

Not an accurate post in my humble opinion, no way do we think we deserve to be a FL side, we fully deserve to be down here as evidenced by the past few seasons. If anything we've been too open on the road previously, defensively we're not good enough to grind a 1-0.

We're on TV, we'll make a fool out of ourselves against a tiny Leeds enclave, whatever. The air is positive at the minute, so a 0-4 defeat, or something.

Fair enough. It's been a couple of years since I last saw Lincoln play I think, unless there was some BT live match I've forgotten about. Reading match reports, opinions, etc, I was under the impression your manager sets his side up for a draw first and foremost.

Why are you lot so pessimistic all the time? You're like bullish Grimsby's downtrodden cousins ffs.

Don't mind fans being realistic, but having experienced the apathetic atmosphere on the last couple of visits to Sincil Bank, it will make it very difficult for you to build the kind of momentum you need to sustain a promotion push. You're a big club at this level, why shouldn't you be contenders?

Because we don't have any money. Our budget is basically at the highest its ever going to be, around £500k, unless a Fenty/Vince etc come in. We're miles off being able to compete, budget wise.

Fancy a chairman trade, minus the hipster Eco crap? Ok good, I'll stop being pessimistic, actually no, realistic.

We'll finish mid-table.

Budgets aren't the be all and end all. Look at Woking and Macclesfield last season. A good manager and a bit of positivity can go a long way. You've got enough good players to be in contention imo.

Quite a few of our fans wouldn't mind being the club we were before without some of the hipster Eco stuff tbh, but at the end of the day at least we're in a strong position financially with an owner who seems keen to stay involved and invest heavily. I suppose putting up with getting food elsewhere and the team wearing company colours aren't too heavy a price to pay in the end. Being Eco friendly isn't actually a bad thing either, I want my kids/grandkids to live in as healthy an environment as possible.

Ah yeah, you'll get the odd anomaly as above and like Southport 4(?) years ago and Alfreton and Halifax but by and large it won't be a million miles off budget order.

It's coming up to ten years since we last finished in the top half of the table. I'd be worried if we weren't pessimistic.

Leeds enclave v just a small town in Grimsby isn't a bad fixture to televise.Should be a decent game and I'm all in favour of spreading the televised games around.

Rovers take on Bromley without the suspended pair of Steve Jennings and James Norwood. Jenno will be the harder to replace as we haven't got another obvious holding midfielder. At full strength, we might beat the in-form Ravens, but expecting a score-draw with those available.

Really bad traffic apparently.

Quite a few supporters aren't going to make kick off by the sounds of it. Not sure whether the team have made it yet.

BT Sport is an actual vom-fest. "Ooh, look at little Guiseley, they're so brave, first time on TV etc".

Let's fucking paste them.

(We won't)

How does Guiseley's ground in any way meet the ground grading for this league?

It doesn't, they're required to make improvements to stay there whilst at this level I think, just given time to do it.

Rhead's a proper player. Would love to see him paired with Parkin at some point.

Guiesely really have a problem down their right hand side from the games I've seen of them. Seems too much space around Atkinson and Toulson.

So Torquay have not won in 10 games and have serious issues both on and off the pitch. Add the fact they will have new manager syndrome and it is a fans favourite and it all has the hallmarks of a home win.

I would expect 200-250 Shots at Plainmoor tomorrow, and the fact that for probably the first time ever we are going down on a Saturday will help that!
