I just like it all in one so we can all contribute to whatever is going on in the division. I'm on this board to follow and discuss the league as a whole, not just my team. I don't want to spend Saturday afternoon flicking between 12 threads. One thread just makes it far more interactive as a forum. It was great in the non league and I'm really not enjoying this sub forum as much because there's less interaction with other clubs' fans.

If you added up all the threads from today you'd be at about a dozen pages max. Not exactly huge.

Worked fine last season in the league below.
Very good showing from us today and but for their keeper would have won comfortably.
Cracking crowd too.

I'm not bothered either way, but guarantee people would soon get sick of reading 4+ pages about Carlisle matches, and I don't blame them.

12 pages is pretty big, just looked at the non league thread which only has 5 pages, that'd be much easier to read through.

One of those games when on another day it could easily have been 4 or 5 but with some heroic defending and Roche playing out of his skin, we somehow managed to drop 2 points. Oh well, Morecambe blocked everything used gamesmanship (even worse than we do sometimes) and had much more of the run of the ball but we should be okay if we play like that regularly.

I suggest having a 'General L2 chat thread' and that would be the main banter thread.

Just have that instead of some single match thread and we would still get to have separate match threads.

Isn't this just the Lincoln match thread anyway?

Pretty much, talking up about how they managed to draw at home to the mighty Morecambe

Welcome to him. He's a good lad and will do well. He just isn't good enough for a side aiming for the top 7, so he'll probably suit you more. That said, we've Angol was terrible for us today and we've still to recruit this top notch forward were expecting.

I'd have Green over Angol all day long and we've seen plenty of Angol. To say he's not good enough for a top 7 league 2 side is ludicrous. Like I say, he'll get 20 this season no doubt about it, 2 in 2 already. The service he'll get this year will be much better than what he got in a stale Mansfield side last year so he'll flourish with us.

Mighty Morecambe haha is that supposed to be demeaning towards them? I'd say they're a similar size club to you to be fair, you both do well considering the crowds you get. See you got 3000 there today not bad

Apparently, a steward at Barnet PUNCHED a Luton fan yesterday. I saw someone being led out of the premises and making gestures but I didn't see why.

Huge police overreaction yesterday again - nothing happened; once again looking for trouble they simply wasn't there.

Telling people to sit down whilst the police and stewards were standing in the way whilst people were sitting and watching the game isn't particularly helpful. Supposedly they also did this in front of the wheelchair section.

Did we lend you our stewards?

Yep, only a massive club would be able to easily double your last home gate.

Shame the first one was only 1336 home fans.

That's because they were time wasting in the first half from the very start, they weren't on the same level as us yesterday (/we probably wouldn't beat you in a few weeks playing like that) then turned into a bunch of thugs when they went behind

Yesterday was so poor. Absolutely terrible game between two poor sides for the first hour, then it sparked into a bit of life after the opening goal to become a little bit less poor.

So dull I can hardly remember anything that happened.

How about a compromise, where individual match threads are created for the build up and the single-thread isn't put up until just before kick-off? That way the single-thread starts at kick-off and doesn't already have 8 pages of fans of a few clubs moaning or going horrendously off-topic (we had a lovely discussion about the pre-Roman tribes of Britain on the Cambridge - Carlisle one).

I'm figured most people's interest in the single thread is they get to see how other clubs are doing, so they don't need the build up, just the match duration and aftermath.

Could work. It's mainly during the matches that I find it useful, to keep up with scores and sendings-off etc. For exiles or those who can't/don't do away (or indeed home) games it's good. That said, team news and a bit of post-match discussion is good too.

Need a proper, Crazyimp opening post to get the chat going, as mentioned above.

CrazyImp might have been king of the coop down in the non-league forums, but you're playing with the big boys now.
The lad's class is evident. He could easily write openers in the Championship section. You lot might not have heard of him but his banter is top notch and he has been watched by scouts from dirty Leeds and the Wendies.

He was brilliant for most of 14/15 and 15/16 but he's been dealing with some personal issues and I wouldn't be surprised to see him shipped out on loan to somewhere like Boston or Gainsborough before the end of the window.

Whoever next has the pleasure of Luton visiting their ground may need to print an instructional manual to accompany the ticket about how to operate the seats in their away end. We had loads of fans look at the fold down seats we have, confuse their little selves at the sheer complexity of folding down the seat and choose to stand in the gangway/stairway instead.

The poor fellows, ready to erupt with frustration at the illogical puzzle they've been asked to complete (don't forget - they don't have seats at Kenilworth Road; they all rotted away back in 1909 and haven't been replaced) then took their frustrations out on our goalkeeper and stewards.

Bless their little (dirty) cotton socks.

 Who do you despise most Urban? Us or Luton? I feel like I'm going to be disappointed either way.

Oh believe me there's enough hate in me to dish out more than enough to you both AND Trevor Kettle in equal measure.
