Yeah the referee, that's why we won.

Did he stop you having any shots either?
He also made Mahon give the ball away in the build up to the penalty.

Where exactly did I say he was the reason you won?

Get the fuck in!!!

Southport were utter horseshit - time wasting, overly physical, dirty. We didn't deserve to win but at this point I don't care.

8 games, 5 wins, 3 draws, 6 clean sheets, and now out of the bottom 4 for the first time since September and it feels fucking excellent.

It'll be a travesty if an anti-football team like FGR or Eastleigh go up this season. Two of the teams with apparently the biggest budgets and they're both more bothered about kicking the opposition players off the pitch and time wasting than playing football.

I thought up to Mahon's assist for the first goal (the pen) and Astles sending off the game was a 0-0. The referee was a shocker. It took him 40 minutes to give us a free kick despite repeated fouls from your tall, black midfield player. My only consolation is that you I doubt you'll make the play-offs.

The footballers of Forest Green Rovers are a disgrace to non league football. Filthy set of c@n7s!

From the description of FGR's performance today it sounds very much like that of Dover! Second only in the falling over, rolling around on the floor, feigning injury, surrounding the referee at every opportunity and time wasting to their very close cousins - Braintree. The sad thing is if they concentrated on playing football they could actually be quite good at it.
How on earth have we managed to stay cemented in 18th place for about six months?

I (obviously) disagree. Up until the penalty your goalkeeper had kept you in it. We always looked likely to score.

You are right about the play offs though. It's jut nice to at least be involved in the discussion. Maybe Chester will give it a go one day?

Sorry to go on about it, but FGR were a horrible, anti-football side, and we dominated possession from start to finish. However, as has been the story for pretty much every game this season, we couldn't convert possession into chances - we rarely tested their keeper, and yet again it has cost us.

That should have been an easy home win, but we have the cutting edge of a wooden spoon. For all our huff and puff today, we just didn't look dangerous and can only blame ourselves for dropping 2 points.

I think that's it for us this season. I really hope Cheltenham go up as champions, and someone like Grimsby go up in the playoffs. Two of the proper football teams.

Very strange to hear this as FGR just got on with playing football at our place a couple of weeks ago. None of the spoiling tactics you mention at all. Makes you wonder why they would change tactics and stoop to it - bizarre!

I thought we'd win today but certainly wasn't expecting 4-0. Delighted with that as goal difference could prove crucial come the end of the season.

Hopefully that'll be the confidence boost we need to kick on scrape together enough points.

Well, we're still in it. Pretty even first half, with our keeper to thank for scores not being level at half time. An early goal in the second half knocked the stuffing out of Aldershot, then it was, amazingly, plain sailing. A few Aldershot players were in pitchside discussions with a number of their supporters after the game.

Mate, you wouldn't believe the difference in attitude between Guiseley and FGR. You were a class act the other day and deserved at least a point. FGR had a player booked for time wasting after 12 minutes, and it just got worse. One sent off, and two subbed on yellows because they were about to follow him. If they do go up, they'll be found out - I doubt any league refs will put up with gamesmanship like that.

We obviously adapt our game to suit the opponents.

If teams want to play a clean, fair game we do. If teams what a thuggish game, we reluctantly oblige.

And Wrexham are three points off the playoffs whereas Grimsby were about 15 behind when you made your statement.

A slight difference.
With 3 games in hand.
So theoretically it was possible, but unlikely as we all said.

Shall we just ignore Guiseley scoring instead of giving the ball back against Braintree then?

CLASS ACTS.

Amond with his second to seal our Wembley post promotion party.
The fans have nearly achieved their objective, we just need to change the name - #OperationFAT...
I know a few people who have already achieved OperationFAT in their lives.

You back from the game yet? What?! You didn't go?

There was only one team trying to play today, and yes, you can probably tell that it's left a bad taste in the mouth.

I'm off out now, before I bore everyone to death...

Delighted to see Alty pull their fingers out and make a fight of it.
If the rest of you could do your bit and make sure Boring Wood don't get any more points this season please - you know it makes sense!

This is one of the few games I've missed all season pal, so I know exactly how we play and what sort of opposition you lot are.

Any team who want a proper clean game gets one. Brabin teams have always been diving, whinging cheats.

Tranmere didn't show any of that type of behaviour at ours either?

F*ck that, I'm behind your lot to win it. A) So we don't have to put up with a summer of 'Cheltenham did it at the first attempt - haha Tranmere' and B) so FGR NEVER get a Football League place as they simply don't deserve one after that shite.

Grimsby for the title, Braintree to win the playoffs so we can all laugh at how much Eastleigh and FGR have wasted to 'perform' like they do.

So you didn't go then. Cheers, your opinion is invalid.

Alfreton 0-1 FC United (Thomson 26)

We were utter rubbish. FC were strong hard working strong at the back and wanted it more than us. We were flat and looked every inch a middle table side. Looks like this season is going to end with a whimper.

Must say the goalscorer George Thpmson for FC looks a player. Best player on the pitch by a mile today.
