The weekend fixtures;

Altrincham v Aldershot
Barrow v Bromley
Boreham Wood v Macclesfield
Braintree v Cheltenham
Guiseley v Dover
Lincoln v Kidderminster
Torquay v Southport
Tranmere v Forest Green
Welling v Gateshead
Wrexham v Chester

FA Trophy Semis:
Halifax v Nantwich
Grimsby v Bognor Regis

AFC R&D are at home to Uxbridge too.:bg:

Couple of key top of the table clashes with Braintree entertaining Cheltenham and Forest Green heading to Birkenhead for the battle of the Rovers. Probably the pick of games at the other end of the table is the clash between much-improved Torquay and managerless Southport. There's also the N Wales derby at Wrexham, with the hosts still harbouring play-off hopes and the visitors not totally safe yet.

I'll be at Prenton Park for the first ever visit of Forest Green and counting the number of visiting fans with interest. Tranmere had a decent win in the away game, but our home form, especially against sides at the top end of the table has been poor. James Norwood against his former club, hopefully can stay on the pitch and score again, but I wouldn't bet on either. Unless Rovers go at Forest Green from the off,can see us losing this one.

No McCombe or Caton for us tomorrow and those two have probably been the catalyst behind our half decent since the end of January. Apparently both are out for around a month so that'll mean Waterfall or Howe will come back in for McCombe and probably Marris for Caton.

After three consecutive very decent Tuesday evening performances all followed by poor Saturday performances I predict a loss tomorrow v Dover. On the other hand our form has been so erratic that a win wouldn't be a total shock

Pretty much must win for us given our well-noted awful run of fixtures coming up.

We welcome FCUM to the Impact tomorrow. First of four very interesting home games to end the season.

Be nice to turn them over again. We will need to drastically improve at the back though from last week.

We are very difficult to predict though. Have a sneaky feeling FCUM may beat us by the odd goal in 5.

Well I hope Higdon gets his finger out against FGR or it will be like playing with 10 men again.

We're in turmoil (again). I fear the worst today, can see Torquay turning us over by the odd goal.

Sounds like Carter for us. We need pace up front alongside Parky today, because I fear he and Mcnulty will cancel each other out.

Also I'm hoping the other Norwwod turns up today. Not the super motivated, incisive, taking the game by the horns version that played against us in the 2-0 reverse earlier in the season, but the petulant, yellow card earning, never gets his head up, couldn't be bothered version. We saw plenty of both over the years.

Ticket sales for the derby stands at around 6400 with 940ish Chester fans. Good effort all round, especially given the farcical bubble arrangements.

I just hope we don't choke like we usually do in front of a big crowd. Local bragging rights aside we need the points.

We really need a win today against the quorn munchers, but I don't think we'll get anything. Hope I'm wrong. 0-2, 4,500 in attendance.

Hoping for a 1-0 win for us and Cheltenham lose or draw. Making my way up now and I've heard Tranmere area is worse than grimsby and Halifax never knew that was possible!! One of the poorest places in England so expect to be treated like royalty!

I just hope we play better today than we did on our last trip to Cheshire...

You just need to learn how to defend crosses into your box. ;)
Although in fairness it was 2 very good headers from 2 excellent crosses.

I just can't understand why the FGR supporters on here are so well thought of and respected, and why there is so much love towards their club from fans of other clubs.

Banter is not allowed on this forum. Northers are far too uptight it seems.

Luckily there are far less northern sides in League 2. Seriously, lighten up.

Yet some areas of the surrounding Wirral and Cheshire are amongst the most affluent in the country. Enjoy your trip to a proper football ground to watch a decently attended match, should be a nice treat for you.

Ha, thought i would get either you Tom or FGRJC on that one! :fish:

I honestly have no problem whatsoever with what peoples opinions are on my town, doesn't help that the road that leads to Blundell Park is minging so that is the impression that away fans get, even though around half of that road is in Cleethorpes!
