Ha. Not a single chance Ipswich will be in automatic contention.

Swansea at home, should be looking to win this one but nothing is a given in this league.

Looking like there will be no new additions again, hoping we get a couple back from injury. Ali McCann and Robbie Brady probably the most likely but i'd guess it'll be the same team that beat Sheff Wednesday.

Woodman
Storey, Lindsay, Hughes
Potts, Browne, Ledson, Best
Holmes, Frokjaer
Keane

McCann in for Ledson if he's fit enough to start.

McCann back in training, Whiteman partly training, and Riis expected to be back and involved by the Plymouth game in mid-September.

No mention of Robbie Brady & Layton Stewart, and I'm doubtful Ched Evans will play again. Calvin Ramsay is out for 6 weeks at least.

Never known us to start a season with so many injuries.

We'll see. Seems a bit of a silly guarantee to make with our record and how good McKenna has proven to be.

Nobody knows how things are going to play out, of course. The windows not even shut yet. Regardless, it's going to be a great season and I plan to enjoy it whilst winning more games than we lose! That much I am sure of.

Being cocky as fuck after 3 games also seems a bit silly to me.

You've just come up, have momentum, and you may well have a very good manager, but let's see how your squad holds up over winter and a tough 46 game season. You definitely could have a go at the play-offs but not a chance your squad will be anywhere close to Leicester or Southampton at the end of the season with the quality and money they have.

Hull were top of the league after 3 games last season, they ended up 15th. I think Reading were also in the top six after 7 or 8 games and got relegated.

OK sure, so Leicester and Southampton are untouchable and already promoted. We'll just have to settle for 3rd like the bookies have us. Good chat.

Today is going to be a huge test against Leeds. Sounds like they've got a few bodies back as well as signing Piroe. I'd be happy to see a point from this for sure. Sounds like Hirst won't be starting which will be a huge miss.

What a fucking sickener that is. Don’t know if Vaulks did handball it but he’s threw himself at the ball head first with no Cardiff within about 6 yards of him. Daft c***.

Cardiff as bad as us.

That's just two teams, there are plenty better than yourselves.

SF how are you mate? Still hate Ryan Lowe?

I'll never be keen on the guy as a character but he deserves credit so far this season, he's become more adaptable, although it's been forced in truth. He has credit in the bank

Will Keane, Mads Frokjaer-Jensen, and Duane Holmes have all been great signings so far. We look a very solid unit, Brad Potts at RWB has probably been our best player in the first 4 games.

Last 3 games… 55 shots 22 corners, no goals.

Says it all !

Played ok but no good for Ismael if we keep losing .

He’ll be gone .

Class goal by Hedges.

Proper smash & grab.

That Matheus Martins is so wasteful from wide positions but didn't know he was only 20.

Going to assume any new signings won't be in the starting eleven for our trip to Stoke, Ben Whiteman back in training so he might be on the bench too. Could see Kian Best dropped for this one, needs managing, so potentially Duane Holmes at LWB.

Massive upheaval at Stoke, could be a good time to play them before they gel. Think that Vidigal and Mmaae might be missing too.

Woodman
Storey, Lindsay, Hughes
Potts, McCann, Ledson, Holmes
Browne, Frokjaer
Keane

Just seen that we've sold out for this, 2,600, guessing we won't get any more.

Southampton probably wishing the International break was a week earlier or maybe their players thought it was!

Typical.

We get a few goals for once but then throw it away .

Might be one of those seasons .

Good to see Rajovic get two.

Didn't see that coming after 50 odd minutes. Excellent final 35 from us.

Just the start we needed. Going into the international break nicely.

Plymouth at home on Saturday.

We'll be missing Will Keane who is a big loss, hopefully we're talking weeks rather than months.

The hope is Osmajic is fit and ready to start games but no one really knows, he's not even in the country yet. He got clearance last week and has been working with one of our fitness coaches in Spain. Guessing he might meet with the squad tomorrow.

Millar has also played up front in his career, but I certainly couldn't see him doing much back to goal work. Riis and Stewart aren't going to be ready to start games, even if they're back in training. No word on Evans returning.

Looks like Robbie Brady and Ben Whiteman could be in the squad at least, too soon for Calvin Ramsay though.

Complete guess at a team:

Woodman
Storey, Lindsay, Hughes
Potts, Browne, Whiteman, Millar
Holmes, Frokjaer
Osmajic

Seen a very big risk having Cardiff v Swansea at 7.45 on Saturday.

Even with a bubble system in place for away fans they will just drink during the day.

And then there is the home fans of course .

I literally have no idea what to expect from Wednesday today. The table suggests a win, but I know it won't be easy at all as they've had a bit longer to buy into the new managers philosophy. If we had Hirst upfront I'd be a bit more confident, but I heard Ladapo is likely.

Would’ve took a point away at Preston but seeing the news of Will Keane being out, I really think we can take all 3 points. Play like we did away at Birmingham and we’ll give ourselves a good chance.

I did dream we lost 9-0 or 9-1 last night, mind.

Looks like our new record signing is ready to go straight into the 11, so not too concerned about Keane missing this one. I think Millar can play up front as well.

Could be a good game.

Not a bad game, but our extra quality in the final third is the obvious difference. Just sticking to our usual game plan, let the opposition have the ball and defend when we need to.

Millar looks a class above anything else on the pitch.

Job done again.

Whiteman should have been on for Ledson at HT to sure things up. We've definitely missed that guy.

Whatmough looks a solid addition.

Quiet debut for Osmajic but that's to be expected, only landed in England on Thursday. We did miss Keane's hold up.

Small improvements over the last couple of games but back to being absolute wastes of space today. I think we’re doomed. Even if we get rid of Xisco, who would want to come and work for that moron?

Honestly I was shocked how bad Sheffield Wednesday were yesterday. I don't think we even played overly well but on another day we would have won 3 or 4-0 but we certainly didn't have our shooting or decision making boots on. Their keeper made a couple of fantastic saves and looked good. The Wednesday team last season was much better, based on what I saw yesterday. Not even managing a shot on target at home is never a good sign.

Onwards to Southampton on Tuesday. Sadly seems like Leif Davis will be out for some time judging by the pain he looked to be in. He's such a key player so it's not good to see. I can't see anything but a defeat, but I'm very pessimistic about everything and they got stuffed on Friday night. Looking forward to it.

TractorBoys its been 6 games, maybe stop jizzing yourself senseless after beating bloody Sheffield Wednesday.

Again, zero chance Ipswich are anywhere near the autos after 46 games.

Tbf I don't think most Ipswich fans are getting too carried away. It's a fantastic start, but I'd be delighted if we finished top half. So many games left to play, so much can happen. There's certainly many better teams than us in this league.

Out of the current top 6, I can only see Leicester and Birmingham probably being there come the end of the season.
