Teden Mengi makes his first start of the season for Luton.

When he is on form and fully fit, he is a Premier League defender. Unfortunately his attitude wained last summer as he tried to push for a move away, as well as being persitently injured.

It sounds like he's now fully committed for the cause, but I think everyone accepts that he is playing for a January move at the moment.

Sonny Bradley and James Collins start for Lincoln - two magnificent servants for Luton in recent seasons. Bradley of course lifted the play-off winning trophy in 2023, but was released days after. I would put money on the latter scoring today.

Strangely, I’m quietly confident about our chances at Cardiff this afternoon - based on absolutely nothing, as our away form is woeful.

Mansfield at home, if we’re to pull ourselves up the table we need to start getting points at home. See how it goes today, we’ve had the better of them in recent encounters not that it counts much for today. Just hope some are not distracted by the big one with Arsenal on Wednesday.

Again it was out wide where we won this......This time it was Gale who ripped them a new one
Forss first start this season with a double in the 10 position.
Going to take some stopping getting better week on week.

Luton were utter utter crap today. The worst performance this season so far and that’s quite a high bar.

Dare I say it, Bloomfield isn’t cutting it.

Very surprised with how poor Luton were today. Before the game, I would have been happy with a draw. When they equalised I was annoyed as defo didn't feel it was deserved, pleased it didn't end that way.

Luton were utterly dreadful for the first 30 minutes until their keeper went down 'injured' so Bloomfield could speak to their team. We were magnificent during that time, only frustration was we only scored the one. We hit the bar, Draper had two chances and I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting.

As first half went on, the only threats from Luton were from Alli who managed to get in behind once, and there was a chance from Wells? that he pulled wide.

Apart from that, very deserving of half time score.

2nd half you expected Luton to come out and was expecting full on pressure. It lasted about 8 minutes, before the game went back to how it was. Bradley missed a chance somehow to make it 2-0.

With the subs from Luton, we went to 5 at the back part way through the half. Then a well worked goal for Luton, but a frustrating one to concede.

At that point, you thought the game may swing in Lutons favour. However we refreshed our attacking line up making two changes and that made the difference. Two great goals and well worthy of the win.

Good numbers from Luton, loudest from them were the boos at half time though. I liked the look of Alli and no. 14 that came on. It seemed a strange decision playing 17 at right wing back, clearly he's a centre half.

We've had some tough games at home to start the season, but it seems we are intent on making Sincil Bank a tough place to come. We've beaten Reading, Plymouth and Luton all deserved. We drew against Mansfield (I'm sure if we had 11 players we'd had won). Only iffy performance was the 2-2 against Wigan.

God that was a frustrating afternoon for various periods but we got the win. Credit to them though as they were extremely well organised as would expect from a Cloughie led team.

Today is an example why I personally rarely go off at refs (can’t speak for others on that) as frankly Mansfield got the shitty end of the stick on that stoppage time penalty. Getting rather concerned with our propensity to concede late goals too. It’s just far too frequent to be bad luck. On a happy note Devante Cole is looking inspired work in the transfer market.

Either way bring on Arsenal!

I don’t disagree with any of this. If we had snuck a draw, it would’ve been undeserved.

Bloomfield is getting a tremendous amount of stick on social media. And for good reason. A lot of fans’ minds are made up.
