Micro USB issue

Good morning.

Since Saturday I've had an issue with the charging port on my Note 4. The only way I can get it to charge or even recognise it has a mirco USB inserted is by first using a cocktail stick to push the internal connection upwards for a few seconds and then popping the cable in.

Are there any easy fixes or should I just buy a wireless charging pad?

I had that issue with a mobile phone a while back. My service provider said that a repair wasn't cost effective so I bought a spare battery and an external charger.

You'd best invest in a wireless charger.

If it's under warranty get it sent back and get a brand new one.

You tried different cables, in particular, premium cables which are generally a little more difficult to insert and sit in the socket tighter?

If that makes no difference I suggest a socket change. I've done it on an S3 and it's not that difficult, but does involve soldering. But if it's a Note 4 it will be less than 12 months old (Samsung warranties in Europe are 24 months) so Samsung will fix it free of charge. Call a local service centre.

Sorry I didn't see I had replies in here.

After using cocktail sticks for a few days to charge it, it's now receiving the charger and works fine again.

Not sure what caused it, but fingers crossed it doesn't happen again.
