Very good second goal. Norwich look calm and collected. Boro the complete opposite. They need to get a grip quickly, if it goes 3-0 the ref mays well blow his whistle.
Aside from the last 20 seconds of extra time in the League Two final, these play-offs have been proper boring. Hope Norwich collapse to spice things up.
Funny how much less active this thread seems to be compared to the equivalent League 1 and even League 2 and Conference ones.
Have to say this result so far doesn't surprise me that much, as although their record against promotion rivals is on the whole very good (26 points against the top 8), when they go a goal down against a decent team (like us and Bournemouth) they really struggle, so it's probably just as well they don't get promoted this year.
Is it weird that I'd prefer Norwich to win because I'd much rather a Scottish manager has success in the English divisions, rather than a Spanish manager?
In all seriousness, I wasn't sure about Boro's team selection, Norwich's strength is their midfield with Tettey, Howson, Johnson, Hoolahan and Redmond, and Boro had 2 in midfield, and Tomlin on the wing who isn't really known for his work rate to help Friend at left back. It just seemed a bit of a mis-match in midfield and I was expecting Forshaw to come on at HT. Norwich are the better side overall so they deserve it, I did want Boro to come up though.
