I realised I signed up with a few accounts on the other forum, one as a bit of a joke and that's the one connected to my email address so if anyone that's on there could message a modmin for me that would be sound. I emailed their general contact us section using the form but no idea if it will be checked or not.

Doesn't work on my PC at all, can't even reply.

Started one on there too, only thing I get though on that site is a warning that the connection is not secure, and passwords and details could be exposed, anyone else had similar?

What name did you use? I'll keep an eye out for it - only reason I can think of for it being turned down is if you put really dodgy information in the registration - I've only declined one this morning from someone claiming to be in the UK when the IP showed as being in spammers paradise with weird stuff in the location, name and supports fields

tbf this is a really similar situation to what happened with the Football 365 forum after Sky sold it to some dodgy South African company called 'Ole Media' with a business model which sounded very similar to that of 'Cloudstrike Ventures'.

It quickly became clear Ole Media weren't at all interested in maintaining the forum, beyond figuring out ways to load more and more adverts onto it, even if the adverts broke longstanding functions like being able to view your own post history. Everyone struggled along on there for a couple of years after the takeover until a rumour cropped up which suggested Ole were planning on permanently closing the forum down. At that point a few more technically adept posters offered to set up a new message board if the server and hosting costs could be crowdfunded. A few days later after loads of posters chipped in and raised a couple of grand, the new forum was launched and most users migrated over straight away.

The new 365 forum's been going for about a year and a half now, and it's a million times better than the hunk of shite Ole Media were previously running. It also turned out the imminent closure rumours weren't actually true, but they did hilariously mean Ole Media were left without any users to show adverts to. About a year later they eventually ended up closing the original forum down as nobody was visiting it anymore, so a lesson for Cloudstrike Ventures there if they've bought up this place with the intention to run it into the ground in a similar fashion.

This transition happened in the last week, and we were in the process of getting ready to post something on the site .... but, you beat us to the punch. I am the admin for the site - my name is John/codetechplayer, and I will be keeping a close eye on everything, just as James, the former owner, did.

Our plans for the site are to keep things working as they have been and to not make any significant changes. We changed the ad platform recently, and other than that, we don't expect to make any other changes for a while. If we do, we'll let you know in advance.

Hey folks, I'm remaining on board and will still be around for day to day.
There have been a few issues with changes implemented but these are now, by and large, fixed. The issue with the post input field not being present is now resolved.

Work is continuing on-site so if you find any issues or glitches please do raise them.

Echo this. The non-league lot are a good bunch, Admin and, in my opinion, the heartbeat of this forum.

There's bickering on occasions but very rarely anything that needs policing. In the last year, I've had to deal with two incidents from my memory. Both resulted in small holidays until the user had cleared their head and then all fine upon return.

We have a good community here so hopefully all carries on as normal.
