They should get Bradley.

Strange one unless they've had someone in the pipeline, but who is really going to want to work under those owners at the minute? Think Snodgrass will be off this month and that will pretty much confirm their relegation.

Feel sorry for this mike phelan. Teams probably doomed anyway. Little budget in summer hence why Bruce left and probs nothing this month. Clubs up for sale so whoever they appoint might be gone soon. Best of putting a senior player or coach in charge

That club is in a mess. Who'd want to go there? Unless they want a pay-off in 6 months time. Shame really.

Rowett was installed pretty quickly as favourite.

Makes sense. Should do a good job for them in the Championship

Sky reporting Marco Silva (Olympiakos boss/former boss) is to be their new manager.

I heard you were considering* Peter Ndlovu but couldn't face the prospect of losing him as well....

*another obtuse way to generate a necessary connection

What a weird choice. Does he even speak English? Give the guy a chance, but I'd be hugely surprised if he's the answer to Hull's problems.

Can't see him doing any better than Phelan. Apart from Snoddy it's pretty much a Championship squad. They needed new players not a new manager!

Quite a strange choice for manager considering that they'll no doubt go down. Fair play if he does well but I just don't see it. They have one of the worst squads ever assembled at this level and should look at rebuilding for next year.

It's actually a surprisingly excellent appointment, quite astonishing a club like Hull could attract a manager like that but it speaks to the wealth of the Premier League that even poor clubs can shell out millions for a manager.

Looks even better when compared to the other no hopers that were linked like Rowatt, Pardew and Redknapp.

Marco Silva actually has a pretty impressive CV looking at it, if he takes them down I can't see him getting a lot of flack as since July it was pretty much nailed on. Could push them on next year.

In the same way that Liverpool and Glasgow did presumably
Well there is plenty of things to see and do in Glasgow and Liverpool; but the only thing Hull has got is a port which is a good thing as you'd want to get on a boat asap to get the fuck out of there. :D

I had to go to the port in Hull once. Even the locals didn't know how to get to it. It's a bit like Royston Vasey. Thought they were going to ask 'Are you local people?' when I asked for directions. We managed to find our way out just before they started building the bonfire and sacrificing chickens.

Indeed, Dundee should've won.

Maybe in 50 years when they finally finish the quay side renovations....although i guess in 40 years they'll deceide it was a bad idea and revert back. All cities have bad areas but you need to have at least one good area and dundee....it doesn't really have one.

I actually had a couple of good nights out in hull back in my early twenties, but it was cheap student drinking which is hardly city of culture worthy.

It's good seeing Dundee's city centre get rejuvenated, it was dire in the eighties, got done up in the nineties tackily, and now they are trying to bring it into the 21st Century. I hope they can succeed, though the shops in the town need updating as there is too many pound shops, though we can blame the Tories for that I suppose. There is one or two hovels in Dundee like all cities, but overall it's a pleasant and open city that doesn't have the claustrophobic nature of some, especially bigger cities. It's also a fair site better than Aberdeen up the road.

Soccer Saturday team not impressed - view seems to be this is a short term overseas manager brought in at the expense of a young British option...

Mind you he will know about the Premier league...who doesn't!?
