Yeah, I don't do witty thread titles.

Anyway, intriguing game at the Den. Millwall take on Scunny, looking to build on some impressive form of late. They have won 5 of their last 6, are unbeaten in that time and also have 6 wins out of their last 8. Lee Gregory is also the man in form, scoring 9 in his last 8 games. He now has 18 on the season, 13 in the league. With several of the teams outside the top 6 chasing a play off spot, this is an important game for Millwall. They need to prove they can win regularly at home, their away record will only take them so far.

As for Scunny, they vary slightly, but look destined for mid table medicority. They have their own in form striker in Paddy Madden and they too will be looking to build on some good recent form. A win here would take them closer to securing their league one status for next season.

So, a very important game for Millwall, Scunny will provide a tricky test though. Reckon a draw will be the outcome of this one.

Form:
Millwall: W5, D1, L0, F12, A4, Pts 16
Scunthorpe: W3, D2, L1, F8, A8, Pts 11

Recent meetings:
22 Dec 2006 Millwall 0-1 Scunthorpe United League One
27 Jan 2007 Scunthorpe United 3-0 Millwall League One

31 Jan 2009 Millwall 1-2 Scunthorpe United League One

Home form has improved some, 6-2-2 in the last 10. That said, our style of play just isn't conducive to winning at home, so there's that.

I'll be optimistic and go for a 1-0 win.

That's the rub, right there. Scunthorpe will peter out, but we will continue to be shit at home. Big re-evaluation of philosophy needed in the Summer. Anyone know a good occupational psychotherapist?

Excellent 2-0 away win and that is four wins in a row now.

Resilient, hard-working, dogged, determined, professional . . . . . just what was needed. Disappointed we didn't do better with the ball, as Daws said. We controlled much of the game and I think Millwall tried to change things around a bit because they were second best in the first half. Statistics show that we win over 70% of the games when McSheffrey starts. He still is a great talent and it's good to have him back.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I saw it. Scunthorpe worked very hard and stopped us from really getting hold of the game. The bad mistake for their goal was unfortunate, but we never really recovered having probably edged the game prior to that. Without Williams in the middle we really do lack any quality in the midfield. The histrionics from them were frustrating to crowd very effectively and I imagine we'll see lots more of that from Westley's Peterboro.

We don't stand a chance of going up whilst we can't win home games against the lower ranked teams in this division.

Millwall fans,

Do you think it is just the way that you set up that makes you more effective away from home or do you think that the intimidating nature of the crowd can also work against you, and the players might be a bit nervous playing at home?

Genuine question.

Both those and the fact the Harris keeps trying to play with a more attacking line-up at home which destroys our shape.
