Put it this way, it surely can't be as bad as today was.... right?

We were outplayed today too, Burton deserved a point at least. Be happy with a draw here.

I pray lessons have been learnt about one or two players.

I'd play:
Forde
Cummings
Nelson
Craig
Ferguson
PCH
Abdou/Powell
Thompson
Fred
Morison
Gregory

I'm heading down Tuesday for this one with a mate, booked hotel and trains (first class coz we're ballerz init) ages ago and what I expect and what I'd be happy with from the game hasn't changed much despite today's results. I expect us to be rather defensive and consequently there's no chance we're going to cruise this one like Coventry did. We're still several players away from a good side at this level and we just don't seem to beat teams low on confidence so I'd be absolutely delighted with 3 points (especially after going all that way), but would probably take a point.

Can't make it. First away game this season is gonna be Rochdale. How many you reckon we'll take?

To Millwall? Reckon just the 200 odd diehards that usually do these sorts of games, Tuesday nights 180 odd miles away don't tend to attract too many, although nearly 600 went to Orient last season so who knows. Maybe a few more will travel now we've won a league game, but then lots of our fans are bitching about it being "boring" so maybe not. Can guarantee if we're "boring" Tuesday night and win I won't be complaining.

Welcome to the Den, enjoy your stay and please, take a victory with you as a memento of your visit.

Welp.

At least Fred is half decent.

Always delighted with 3 points away from home. With Bradford playing like they are we just might make it 3 in a row on Saturday.

Thought we would win once we got the equaliser but Barnsley hit us with the sucker punch near the end cos we have the worst defence in the league.

Fred quality again, though. Only 18, too. Won't be here much longer, I don't think.

Amazing game really. We should have been out of sight at half time after missing several golden chances and a goal disallowed for an offside which the striker never needed to touch.

Concede a cheap goal from a set piece and go to rats again. Scrape back into it through Fred's efforts and then throw it away by nobody bothering to attach a last minute long ball into the box.

Any confidence in our side and we'd have won that fairly comfortably. As it is its hard to see where the next win comes from.

At least, unlike vs Coventry, we weren't really outplayed. Just doing the simple things badly cost us.

Can't disagree with most of that Matt. I thought we were the better team, played some nice stuff and deserved to win overall, but could have been 2 or 3 down following your first goal, which came against the run of play. Instead we equalised, also against the run of play. After that Mawson scored a cracking volley from a set piece, we should then have put the game to bed but conceded from another set piece. Thought you'd win after that, but when things aren't going for you that doesn't tend to happen and we duly scored from, yep, a set piece. First last minute winner I've seen us score away from home since Anfield in 2008, have to admit I enjoyed it a bit.

I thought you looked an alright side fwiw, if a little one dimensional. Onyedinma is some player and Morison is the only forward I've seen win a few headers against Roberts this season. Once you get a couple of wins you'll start to pick up, just need to rid yourselves of this losing mentality from last season.

Onyedinma won't be with us for long if he carries on improving. Only just 18 and at times is carrying the team. If he starts to produce the skills and chances consistently in matches he's probably move in January.

Confidence is rock bottom thanks to our defence and a truly dire home record stretching back 3 seasons. Something like 12 wins in 73 matches at home somebody mentioned the other day, which is clearly unsustainable. If we get our defence sorted we have enough quality to do ok at this level, but until we can stop conceding cheap goals we will continue to struggle.

Your first and third were poor goals to concede. The second was an amazing finish from a player we tried to sign in the summer. He looks a very good centre half to me. Was fairly impressed with Crowley and Bree too. Winall seemed to spend all game offside though.

I felt like we had the quality to do ok at this level last season, but it didn't come to the fore until Danny Wilson left so it'll be interesting to see how you get on under Harris.
Mawson has looked solid so far, unsurprising he swept the board at Wycombe's POTS awards last year. Bree is another of our academy defenders to be compared with John Stones (don't think he's as good but he'll go for decent money eventually), Crowley was the best player on the pitch along with Onyedinma and is supposed to be Arsenal's next big talent to come through. Some of the talent in both sides is far too good for this level but, as mentioned above, it's not enough to just have a few talented players in the team. Might end up being a season of consolidation this year for you lot as it was for us last year, but it's early days yet.
