Walkley, you seem very pre-occupied with Rotherham. Almost to the level that you seem like you have a chip on your shoulder with us, much like the one Owls fans accuse Millers fans of having with yourselves (which I'd partly agree with). Relax, stop using the 'c' word and discuss whatever.

By all accounts, most of the trouble happened outside of the ground, but let's be honest, the Millwall fans shouldn't have been dismantling the segregation netting. Why would they do that? Had they got into the family stand, aside from 5 or 6 fools on our side goading, what would they have done with the other family men? Who was fair game and who was not? Were the children at risk (please, no more foul comments)?

I just can't see the point of it. By all accounts, have a rook with like-minded people. There were probably enough in our end that would fancy trying to make a name for themselves against the notorious Millwall (but would be situated in the end opposite the away end), but I just can't fathom wishing to attack a family stand just because your side has just lost.

It wasn't the people in the family stand's fault that children in Rotherham (and quite importantly, further afield) were groomed. And that's enough said on the matter as the Mod has warned against mentioning it.

Despicable behaviour from around 200/300 of the 1,200 fans (quite a high proportion) no matter how you dress it up.

I don't get what you are chelping about Walkley, you obviously had debt, otherwise you wouldn't be competing with my amateur football club to use Sheffield College's pitch for your youth teams! Delighted you got a new owner as hopefully you will get proper training facilities and can fuck off out my way.

You were living up in Rotherham in 2010 were you?

Not pre occupied with Rotherham in the slightest, I'm peeved at the shit allocation we have at your stadium and the shitty comments you deign to make in most posts.

Life's too short for grudges.

Is it? Wow. I always thought Jose was OK but under the guise of Walkley Owl he just comes over like an obsessed bitter knob.

I'm neither obsessed nor bitter, i'll accept the knob bit though, just fed up of the OP digging at Wednesday in the majority of his posts, and the resentment of some of your lot.

I am not sure if that is a gag I missed or not, but no, been at Meersbrook for the last 6 years, was in Sharrow for a couple before in various places and started out in the halls in town originally in 2005. All this is on my wiki page...

Ha, it's not that bad, I live next to Meersbrook park so it's quite nice round here for terraces, not many Wednesday fans mind being this close to the Lane. I looked at the new houses at Parson's cross but a lot of people told me not to move up there.

You'd have to be HUGELY (not massively) sensitive to be riled by that. I also mentioned Derby, Palace, Aldershot etc. within this post. It isn't a dig at Wednesday, it's a dig at the overall ultra culture that has infested English football.

I'm sure some people love it. I thought you were a traditionalist (just because you seem to like older grounds rather than the new ones from what I can see), so I thought you'd understand my stance at the very least, even if you don't agree.

For me, some mouth of the south Jimmy Hart stood at the front facing the wrong way from the pitch and manufacturing 'rehearsed' chants isn't my kind of atmosphere. I like witty, on-the-spot chants at opposition fans coupled with traditional songs about your own team.

Each to their own, but don't cast assertions based on that opening post, as it was definitely not anything Wednesday bashing. I saved that for Millwall.

Brothel side of the park?

It's not bad to be honest, lots of old style house, as for the Cross, Christ man you've already escaped the slums don't go back.

I was pissed off with the third rate European game comment to be honest, we had qualified for the UEFA Cup by finishing 3rd in the old first division, back then qualification was open to all and sundry.

Our support isn't that bad, particularly the Palace and Aldershot levels, the band is annoying though, away from home our support is vocal, spontaneous and praised, it's the bounce thing you don't like isn't it.

A few people mentioned that brothel to me in passing but can't say I know where it was, was it one of the shops?

Aye... On the main road. We used to do an audit on there and as a young 18 year old that's the first 'sauna' I'd ever seen. Some reyt creepy gets walked in that place.

Good shout, a mate of mine lives in Parsons Cross. He says if something isn't fastened down it tends to go missing. Plenty of nice areas in Sheffield tho, decent boozers etc.

Im glad you're not my accountant :woot: (ive no idea what this smily means but I like it).
Me too.

In fairness I've not seen the accounts but the waiver of inter company debt could relate to any write down from the Co-op or something different regarding our sale to UKFI

I have, and it doesn't. Cant remember the exact figures but the transaction effectively wrote down a debt of £23m down to a debt of about £6.5 after the takeover. Its in the accounts clear as day Im afraid. Don't understand the issue being made originally though. Decent business if you can get it.
