The first league match between us and the first meeting of any kind, post the move, other than the FA Cup 4th round match in January 2004 (but we're not allowed to mention anything from that period). Form says that this is a banker away win but in any event I'm expecting a tight game as Robinson appears to have (sensibly) abandoned last years all out attack strategy.

Rob Hall is looking really sharp and after his impact as a sub in the Cardiff game must be in with a shout of starting. I think that it's Church's turn to start up front so expect a lot of running around in the general direction of the ball.

MK Dons 0 Birmingham 1

Oh good, I've just noticed we've got Gavin 'oh look at me' Ward officiating. Averages about 1 red every 3 games and 4 yellows per game. No red's issued in 5 this season so he's overdue to flourish the crimson.

Eh? You missed the League Cup defeat at St Andrews the year they won the thing!

Going to be another tough game in which struggle to dominate possession in our usual way.

The thing that concerns me is there's been times in every game we've been overrun unlike anything I've seen for years with us, even Rotherham had a spell where they should have killed the game off. Somehow we've bagged seven points from those four games. Someone's going to give us a pasting at some point soon. It'll be how we react to it that's key.

Think Birmingham are a lot stronger this season.

First hammering of the season for me!

MK Dons 1-4 Birmingham.

Gleeson to score or get sent off.

How Blues won that is incredible ~~ well perhaps not.
:emb:

MKD must've had 80% possession, not looked at the stats yet, but I know Blues' tactic this moment is to soak up pressure and counter..

The only reason we had a clean sheet is because not one of the trillion shots MKD had, was actually on target.
Made our goalie {who uses a zimmer frame} ~ look good.

Earlier posts here, are wrong. MKDons had total possession. A trillion shots.

One guy got something right.

Gleeson was sent off.

On a stretcher after scoring.

P.S.
More food outlets than Wembley and the quietest home support I've experienced in years.
That includes Nuneaton Boro in a rainy friendly.

We so desperately need a striker, one who is any good. There wasn't a huge difference between the teams except we were utterly toothless and that is going to kill us if we don't strengthen.

Made my first trip to MK on Saturday, had a cracking day, one of the best 'new' stadiums I've been to in a while. Thought we looked pretty solid again, in the second half we stepped it up and they couldn't live with us. Very pleasing to see.

Great piss up before & after, and some good banter with the MK fans around the pubs. All feels rosy in the garden at the moment ahead of playing them wankers in a few weeks :hesk:
