Another game where our keeper hasn't been threatened.

So frustrating we kept that stubborn clown in charge for so long.

Brilliant.

We were completely at ease even at 0-2 up, they didn't threaten at all. Big, big gap now - a few more wins and we're safe.

Sounded very straightforward from the little I heard.

We have got no business mincing around the bottom of this division. Eyes on 15th by the end of the season I reckon.

What an absolute walk in the park that was! MK are atrocious. Delighted with the gap we've got now, hopefully we can start to look upwards to mid table.

I won't criticise Cott's as what he did last year deserves massive respect but maybe the Burnley supporter was right when he said he always struggled at this level.
Your point is a valid one given all that.

No-one from our team showed up today, Bolton away all over again. Very dissapointing.

Gifted 2 goals, don't know how many times we are going to do that this season before we learn.

Bristol City looked more than solid enough to stay up, didn't actually have to do anything just show up. You didn't look like creating anything though when Tomlin (c***) and Kodjia came off.

Good luck lads, glad you'll stay up, couldn't give a duck about us, at least we'd win games in league one.

What's the problem with Tomlin then Saul?
As for winning games in L1, you really don't want to go back down (nor do we for that matter), this league is so much better!

You'll be alright. Just an off day.

To be fair the second goal was absolutely excellent. First goal was a gift.

Always seen Cotterill as a nothing manager, looks good business by City to bin him off in good time.

Whether this be a new manager honeymoon period or an idea of what life could be like under LJ the gap we are creating is almost invaluable. Also what is it 3 point gap to 16th?

Just watched the highlights and it looked a very assured performance from us. A lot of promise shown with the amount of chances we had.

Kodjia back in the goals, a young academy lad making his senior debut for 90 mins and keeping a clean sheet. Think only Pitman has scored against us recently and there's no shame in that.

Distance between the relegation zone is getting bigger and bigger. Happy with that.

Looking at the MK forum hasn't took them long to work JET out ( although they have no idea his best position)

Such a waste of talent.

Did laugh at the guy saying he's never a No.10 as he hasn't got the vision for it, and needs to be played as a targetman instead

I said the first part (and I'll stand by it) but I never said anything about him being a target man. I said if we're going to persevere with him we have to play him wide (where his lack of work rate is less detrimental to the team).

In our system the no' 10 (that's in a 4-2-3-1, not a 4-4-2) we need someone who's going to feed Maynard and look to spread it wide. He just looks like he's the sort that'll just run at people. He also needs to show some legs to drop into the midfield to make a three at times. That requires a lot more work rate than we're ever going to get from JET.

As for yesterday, very poor from us, there was just no tempo or touch and everything seemed to go long and onto Flint's head, but credit to City, defended from the front, closed everything down and finished well whenever presented with their chances.

JET is an attacking midfielder. And what an attacking midfielder he is.

4-2-3-1 tailor made for JET I should have thought.

Definitely not a targetman neither a winger. You'll see.

Id still take him over Tomlin.

On his day, he is sensational. While we certainly saw a lot of his 'days', they don't seem to happen too often since he's left us.
Wonderful player when he's on 'it', a real entertainer!

Ah, apologies, may have been mixing up posts with the targetman bit. There were a couple of your lot saying that though. Couldn't be more wrong, he can't head a ball to save his life!

He will run at people and can be absolutely deadly in doing so but he's also got an eye for a pass. The season Baldock got 20+ goals in L1 over half of them were set up by JET as well as numerous other opportunities.

He's got his weaknesses: a tendency to disappear in games and he's just not blessed with natural fitness. You're right in saying in terms of work rate defensively and dropping into a 3 in midfield he's not going to provide that, he's a luxury player in that sense.

But his vision and his ability to spot and pick a pass most definitely isn't one of them. It's PL level it really is, unrivalled by any City player in my time bar Paul Hartley maybe. And that's wasted out wide. Play him in behind Maynard regularly and he'll give him 10 assists, no problem.

It's whether the impact that'll have on the balance of the rest of the team outweighs that that's always the problem with a player like him. But yeah, play him behind the striker or it's not worth playing him at all.

JET is a good player. However, in a losing team he sticks out like a sore thumb for him poor work rate in some matches.
When on form he is pretty unstoppable for most defenders, if you get the best out of him it will probably keep MK Dons up.
Nicky Maynard was a good finisher but again would go missing in a lot of matches.

As for City I think we have done very well since the turn of 2016 considering the Summer and start we had.

This cannot be for real can it? Seriously.
I'll give you Freeman for last season but Tomlin has genuine class.

Revell > JET

You won't have JET long enough to appreciate what he brings to a side. Plenty of our fans slated him even when he'd scored 14 in his first 21 games. "Too lazy" "Luxury" "Rather have Ryan Taylor" blah blah blah. Fortunately our fans saw sense in the end. Brilliant player.
