Heading to Burton on Monday. Been many years since I last went. Wheres best to park? Think theres a Burton fan on here!
Big car park at the ground but it's awful to get out of and there are lots of places around the ground too (industrial units) you could try them, it's quite easy to find.

Safe journey to all those travelling today. I can’t believe it is an away day and I am sat at home calmly breaking my fast at 8.30. Si, if by some miracle I bump into you (which given I have no idea what you look like is unlikely) today at Whaddon Road I’ll buy you a pint.

No idea, I've never been there. They opened a few years after I left Whaddon.
I listened to your blog yesterday. I thought it was a fair assessment of us, and would be informative to home fans who knew little about us. The one player you missed out is Adam Randal (number 20) in the midfield who is our best passer and only about 21/22.

Thanks BE - hope you had a good Christmas but a shite Boxing Day.

At the moment, I'm not even certain of when I'm getting to the game. My boy had a bad earache last night and we were in A&E until midnight-ish. If he's as bad today, then I've got to be nurse whilst the wife takes the rest of the kids to her mum's. Hoping I make kick-off at least.

Crikes, the lumbering teenager was off school for a week recently, but his ear was not as bad, just very red. The only small comfort I can give you is that if you were in Plymouth you would still be in A&E (my dad has had to go twice this year, went in early afternoon both times and got off the care of the ambulance staff late the next morning). Hope your lad is okay.

If you go left at the island next to the ground ( ground on your right ) over the bridge ( not second left which is Hawkins lane ) you hit some new houses. If you are there earlier enough you can street park for nothing.

He's absolutely fine today, but he's not coming to football to be on the safe side - I'll be in Parklands around 2 with a bit of luck

Glad he’s okay, we have managed to get in Robin’s nest, watching the Sundrland game

Dazzler bingo! Big changes from recent weeks including Wilson and Butterworth on the bench, no Worrall at all and Holden starting! Sammy Robinson plays after not even making the squad in recent weeks and Cass comes in.

Looks weaker than I’d have liked in a crucial game we need to be winning.

That said we know from his interview recently that some players have been Ill including Covid.

Some sort of illness in the camp. Sweeney is playing even though he was supposedly out for weeks. Matt Jay starts. Three points for Pompey

Never change Darrell!

Going to be a tough attritional battle regardless. One thing with Derek Adams teams they are always difficult to beat. At least there’s no Jake Taylor to come back and haunt us.

Thanks. Ended up parking on the other side of the railway lines on side of an industrial estate. Mixture of home and away fans parking when there. It is bloody cold!

Their fans are furious! Stockton on the bench and six defenders starting so could be one of those where we go Garner Ball and have 70% of the ball around the back three trying to work out how to break them down!

Glad Taylor isn’t playing I rated him and his performance in the final was probably as good as Wilson’s considering I was worried about Longstaf and he ran the show instead.

Both sides maybe hit with the illness that seems to be affecting virtually everyone I know at the moment? Dazzler sounded like shit in his interview.

Looks like we're fairly equally matched against MK Dons. Unfortunately we're both pretty shit

Pompey should be well ahead. Defensively we are awful.

Attritional is definitely the word for this game. We should have gone a goal down just before we scored. Other than that it’s much of a muchness.

As I said, score early we fall apart away from home, there's no middle ground with our away games.
We just cant deal with Burtons physicality. We are normally so good at defending set pieces, we've fallen apart. They are doubling up on the wings and we have no answer. Its been the same since minute 1, i dont think we've had a shot.

Terrible performance and zero happened for 40 minutes then it all happened within 15 seconds. Free header about 6 yards out Morecambe hit the inside of the post with the ball going across the line to Stevens, he launches it and drops for Massey who rifles into the bottom corner.

Depressing, we really seem to have no plan. Stevens back but on too late to make a difference and one or two individual efforts but still so poor.

That was an incredibly forgettable game but we got the three points and that’s all that matters. See if we can nick something at Sheffield Wednesday next time out and that’s a pretty decent return over the Christmas period.

I fucking hate playing Plymouth, always beat us. Thought we played pretty well and a draw would've been fair but one bit of quality was the difference

Poor, utterly toothless and unable to string three passes together. One or two individuals did alright Olly Casey and Dylan McGeouch especially but we again looked like a team without any real idea how to defend or attack as a unit.

And we were a goal less poor than you. Says it all really. Mr. Jackson has his work cut out with our lot.

Fair result in the end, much better in the second half. Both teams looked knackered and unhappy with a point

Poor game but better second half from us in the end. Worried when Stockton came on with all the links but don’t think he touched the ball.

Professional job done and Morecambe lost their rag in the end culminating in a red card. Take the win all be it against a very very poor side.

Takes pressure off Thursday now.
