I think Chile will put up a bit of a fight. 2-1 Argentina or 1-1.

Might be going to this match! :woo:

Can't see Chile win this. They have a horrible record against Argentina and have become shit without Sampaoli.

My prediction remains 3-1 Argentina.

Yes Lib, Sampaoli was a great coach, but I won't go as far as saying Chile are now shit. Last I checked, they still had the same strong side. As for my prediction, I wasn't being totally serious as I think Argentina will win this as they're the stronger side, and like you say, they have a great h2h record.

Anyway, I will support Chile as they're my favourite S.American national side. I like their brand of football (the high pitch pressing especially) but their back line definitely needs to improve if they want to go forward, which is possible as they've got some great midfield and attacking players in their side.

Ps - Is 'Vamos Chile' the same as 'Go on/Come on Chile'?

2 - 1 to Argentina, they were shit first half but excellent in the second playing great on the counter. Bravo could've done better on both goals, but the Argies won't mind that; a good win to start off their campaign, and that without Messi who's still to come in (and sporting a rather snazzy beard). Chile sneaked a consolation in the last minute but don't look the same as I saw under Sampaoli.

Lib will be happy ;)

Definitely we'll hardly see a Chile as good as last year now even more without Sampaoli. I don't think they did bad at all though. Argentina was better but they're still not using the big potential they have, I mean, their squad is sensational but they're not showing all they can.

True Martino is utterly useless.

Not the result I wanted but can't say I am surprised. Sampaoli's departure was a great loss to the Chileans, but I'm still hopeful they'll come good eventually. Too many talented players in their squad so I think it's only a matter of time before they get back to playing some brilliant stuff.
