Morecambe v Notts - The Sol Campbell Cup

Well, twas around 6 years ago now when I was stood watching Sol's calamitous Notts debut (and farewell game). Chips were nice near the ground though.

We have no available central midfielders after having 4 very good ones. So it's kind of hard to predict the team, we either draft in our 5th/6th choices which I guess are Smith (*cries*) and 18 year old Lartey Sarpong - or we shift it around a bit and move Swerts into the middle, which is more likely I think.

Can everyone stop getting booked? We will probably lose this like we did against Mansfield after cup heroics. We need to find some form, get a settled side but injury and bookings are hurting

Looking forward to this. Was also there 6 years ago when the Munto circus rolled into Morecambe. Sven Goran Eriksson, Tord Grip, Schmeichel, Sol Campbell, Lee Hughes, Hawley, Rodgers up front. Quite a line-up for a League 2 outfit, history tells us it was all a sham but both Clubs have moved on.

And to the present, both teams seem to be struggling with injuries and suspensions so not quite sure what to expect. I'd say there will be goals and will go for an entertaining 2-2 draw, i'm not sure we will see the same numbers watching as back in 2009, how many do the County fans think will make the trip to the seaside for the bank holiday 'sunshine'

Most one-sided game ever, should be 5-0 up but we're losing. This season can fuck off already.

health reasons. Which is a bit worrying as they've not expanded on it. Hope she's alright.

Anyway, we'll be fine. Not sure why everyone is so worried by us, we've started badly - half the team are either injured or suspended. I'm the first fucker to get pessimistic about Notts but it's far from a crisis - there's a lot of really good players in that squad, we just need a game where we can get enough of them on the fucking pitch at the same time.
