A few of you will be disappointed if we aren't here next season then! :mell:

As for me (and if we buck our ideas up), Rovers if they stay down (although crap away end). Cheltenham is one of my favourite away days so I'll be hoping thats a Saturday and I guess FGR, although it's in the middle of nowhere. Kiddy also.

Should I start taking the possibility of being reprieved seriously?

To be honest I hope it doesnt happen. While Id love to part of the Conference Premier again. It would just be another season of immense struggle probably made even worse by the fact we are still in the mindset of preparing for Conf North al la Dartford last season.

And we wont be popular as the league would lose a great away day in Torquay which would be replaced by a lovely trip to Derbyshire which isnt quite the same!

I hope it doesn't either! But as I mentioned on the other thread, we have two weeks to show we are in some sort of position to compete this season, which currently we don't.

But it's fine because the club are telling us we should be happy about the news we're playing Tiverton in a friendly :bang:

In the old 4th division I always enjoyed visiting the Shay, especially after a good session in the Three Pidgeons pub.
Chester is always a good day out, although Tranmere fans do have a history of misbehaving in this fixture, making it a bubble match would be OTT as there hasn't been any serious trouble since 1983.
Don't like going to Wrexham at all! From a Tranmere point of view, probably the most unwelcoming constabulary and locals in the football pyramid.
Looking forward to Southport, but not the journey through Liverpool, especially if there's a game on at Anfield or Goodison.
I've been to Bristol R/Grimsby, Macc,Torquay, Lincoln and Aldershot before. Think we 'll be in for a big culture shock at some of the other places.

You folks will enjoy Bromley, good old school non-league ground. Love that big long side terrace.

For some reason everybody loved coming to The Shay. They loved us so much they even used to sing about how they wished they could come back and play us every week. It made us feel special.:woo:

Attractive games would be the ones at Dartford and Ebbsfleet, cracking local games with big crowds home and away.

Least attractive, I'm not sure. Basingstoke maybe? Being gouged at St Albans?

Maidstone is the one I'm most looking forward to. Really excited for this one. The games with Dartford are okay, but nothing special. Atmospheres can be good but the games are generally quite poor! Well, have been lately. I'll still be buzzing for it the day before the game of course!

Looking forward to Truro also, and Wealdstone could be interesting given the few idiots that came out after they lost this season.

Don't really give a toss about the rest...

Tranmere will be decent for us, we'll both take 2,000 to each others grounds I would've thought.

Providing they fall on a Saturday, Southport, Kidderminster and Altrincham are good away days on the train.

None of the games are particularly exciting to me really, even the alty games this year failed to motivate me. Probably looking forward to Tranmere the most purely down to locality.

I can understand Chesters fans looking forward to coming to Prenton Park. It will be nice for them to take their average gate on an away game and not even fill the away stand. Make a change from the pathetic support they used to bring in the old days. Looking forward to visiting the Deva. If it is not a bubble game ( something I find a disgrace in all honesty. How the police are allowed to treat football fans like criminals in this day and age disgusts me) a Tranmere take over, similar to what it always was before the late 80's when our paths when in different directions, is guaranteed, both of the ground and their City Centre pubs as will the Southport away game especially if it is early in the season or at Easter. A day on the lash in a nearby seaside resort with a match thrown into the bargain is sure to encourage a huge away following. Can't say I' m particularly looking forward to visiting that hell hole the Racecourse as it is sure to be a"bubble" mainly due to the number of savages pretending to be Wrexham fans that always turn up looking trouble and as I said earlier I have no intention of subjecting myself to that nonsense. Also the police there are completely clueless, constantly picking in the visiting fans while the main problems are caused by the locals, some of whom think they are some kind of hard man although they won't last 5 minutes in Birkenhead, or most other large towns outside North Wales for that matter, on a Saturday night. Be nice to go to the Shay again if only to see the re-developement because it was a real dump last time I was there in 1991.

We're not quite on the Gateshead/Torquay type out in the sticks, but we could be if Grimsby go up tomorrow having lost Alfreton already. As well as losing Mansfield and York over the last 3 years.

Our 'local' game will be Macclesfield.

And Birkenhead's dead salubrious, la. It won't be a bubble match.

Always look forward to the Woking games, probably because we usually beat them and Brett Williams usually scores!
Really looking forward to Cheltenham, have some great memories from there in 2010 when Dean Morgan scored 'that' goal.
Apart from those, and Bristol Rovers, there isn't much to get excited about!

You'll probably fill our south stand but that's hardly a takeover.

If we get allocated the tickets my guess is we would take between 2500 / 3500 to chester if we are flying at the time theres no reason why 4500 could not turn up . Last time i went to sealand road we practically had 2 and a half sides ...... Ive never seen us beat chester in my 30 years following rovers, bring it on.

Does Chesters ground even hold that?
I'm looking forward to whatever games I can fit in before I leave the country. Hopefully Wrexham or chester away is in August.

You will probably get 1200 tickets for our place and possibly that at Wrexham too (Is what we were given there).

We have given two sides in the past, but there's more season ticket holders in the West Stand these days and I think the club are reluctant to turf them out. You're likely to get behind the goal and half of the side at our place. It's a shame that Vaughan converted the away end from a terrace to an all-seater, it reduced the capacity by a good 500 from 6,000 to 5,500, which comes out of the away following for big days.

At Wrexham we were given 1,200 tickets in a stand that holds double that, at least, and was left empty on the day, which comes across as a bit more bastardish, unless their SAG & police force are pulling the strings.

You Chester fans have to remember that there are a lot of Wirral people work in your city (I know because I get the same train as many of them every day) as well as in Ellesmere Port etc so there is nothing stopping them going to the Deva and buying tickets for their Rovers supporting mates. That`s exactly what I`m going to do if I don`t get a ticket and I won`t be buying just one believe me. Last time we played in Chester at Sealand Road it was all ticket and that didn`t stop us having 60% of the crowd that night and I confidently expect the same this time if it is not a bubble game.

And which extra seats do you intend to give to Chester when you say 2 sides Mark. If you are talking about the JKS it isn`t going to happen. Too many season tickets holders, including me and I`m not moving as are none of the people who sit around me. Anyway The Cowshed holds more than Chesters average gate so they will have plenty of tickets. The problem is at their place (their entire ground can`t hold our average crowd) especially if we are having a good season. Can you imagine what it will be like if( having said that it is probably a big IF) we need a result there to get promoted. It would be far bigger than Stockport and we all remember what a take over that was
