Shrewsbury and Chesterfield's old ground are the ones I always remember because of the toilets, or lack of any proper ones.

The formers were standard house guttering put into the ground and off into a drain and I don't think Chesterfield's were much better either.

Macclesfield always seems to run out of food and drink before the game even kicked off and at Underhill, you had to wait until 2.30pm to get a hot drink because they'd never think to heat the water up from those large, silver water boiler things beforehand.

On the subject of awful away toilets have you ever been to Bootham Crescent?

When I first when there, I was served tea with flakey milk and the queue for the bogs was upwards of 20 minutes due to there only being 2 portaloos. Probably my winner for shitey away ends.
And the Aldershot portaloos just have the bog roll on the side right next to the seat, almost always covered in piss.

Although not sure why you would ever shit at a football ground so most people would be OK.

Unfortunately a few years ago away at Mansfield I was absolutely busting for a No.2 so I had to go and their toilet was like something out of Trainspotting.

Wrectum is easily my favourite.

Some of our fans used Nepaldershot due to the Gurkas but that was quickly abandoned due to ‘casual racism’. Stuck with Aldershit now.

Cockport.

Brings me back to the use of “Sincil Wank” while Lincoln were down here.
I’m only using it because one of the Stockport fans on here suggested it. Rolls off the tongue. Steady.

Underhill suffered from many problems, one of which was the state of the electrics at the ground. Heating up the boilers constantly probably would have overloaded the system and caused a blackout!

Never did there! You think back, and even as recently as the early 00's some of the places were dives but that was part of the day wasn't it.

We don't follow lower league football for anything other than awful toilets, pigeon shit on seats and cardboard burgers!

"Are you ok to wait until about 2,30pm, sweetheart?".

Well, no, actually. That's 45 minutes away and I'd like a coffee now tbh!

I still don't think any football toilets come close for hideousness than the old Gillingham away end which had a wall with a trough at the bottom that had a partial cover. I remember once being there in the rain and not knowing whether the pool of water surrounding the wall was piss or rainwater.

Disagree about the burgers though - the lower down the pyramid you get the better the food tends to be.
