You did WHAT??
Oh sorry, he actually quit. Can't find the articles from the time but I think it was because he got asked to do it for free and then we advertised asking people if they wanted to pay to be Mighty Mariner. Did that actually happen Town fans, or am I having a moment? Sounds like absolutely classic Fenty. Here's the 42 page thread on The Fishy from when he quit...

People were angry anyway, that's what my comparison was.

Actual quote from when he came back “I had to sit down, I was shocked", he said. "I never thought I would be the mascot again. The directors asked me if I would be willing to put everything in the past. I really appreciated the call, and was flattered they’d thought of me. Life’s too short to say no, so I said yes straight away.”

Wrong chaps. That accolade goes to Notts County and/or Sheffield FC.

It’s like everything Wrexham do now. I work in marketing/comms and it’s perfect from that perspective, they’re really good at it. But as a fan it is hide-behind-the-sofa cringe.

They're welcome to it. The oldest club in the world tag was a millstone for us, it made the relegation out the league worse and the owner, players, manager were all aware of it and I'm sure it didn't help.
I don't think it will help Wrexham either if they hit a sticky patch just as the big spending Stockport are struggling with the expectation at the moment.

It's a little bit cringe seeing as they've no idea what they are really talking about on the football side of it.

But they are here and they are going to be successful.

The partnership will also see EA SPORTS supporting Wrexham AFC’s work off the pitch, in the local community via an initiative with Wrexham Glyndwr University, and the provision of a community lounge at the Racecourse Ground in the future.

“It’s great to be partnering with Wrexham AFC and to support the club’s commitments to the Wrexham community and its fans,” said David Jackson, EA SPORTS VP Brand. Jackson added, “We’re excited to launch innovative community projects in collaboration with the Club, and for Wrexham fans to experience playing with their side in EA SPORTS FIFA 22 when the game releases later this month.”

I'll be cringing my head off in the EA community lounge.

Our American owners have already been one once this season and are coming again end of this month. All excuses if they’ve not already been.

Have they been to any games yet?
We're all devastated that they haven't visited yet. Fans are currently in the process of organising a demonstration for the next home game, demanding they sell the club.

Never heard of one of them. I must be missing the point of what crap is here, as the majority of those certainly are not.

You beat us in 1996. I can forgive but not forget. We would have played West Ham in the cup but for Karl Connolly. Thats what started me and the bairn on the g's. Plus I got beat up at your place 05 time when I went with Robbie Williams to watch Vale

Fair enough. The King would drive any opposition fan to drugs...

Murphy's 3rd goal of the season means he has matched our top scorer from last season already

I tell you something that is tin pot, the TV gantry set up at Yeovil. Was looking forward to some lovely post match highlights but was incredibly let down by Yeovil filming the game on a Casio Wristwatch located somewhere near Bristol.
