For anyone in the know about cars, my car failed it's MOT today on these:
IMG_0084.JPG

Quoted £140 which includes £35 MOT fee, plus to sort out the ABS light they need to do some test on it to find out what is wrong which is another £40 so £180 total.

So to anyone who knows anything about cars does this seem decent or am I being ripped off here?
I wouldn't normally care but last month I had my coil springs replaced and 4 new tyres so I am seriously out of pocket at the minute.
Thanks in advance. :)

The price seems reasonable, fairly minor stuff apart from the abs problem. Fingers crossed the abs isn't expensive to fix.

ABS issues can cost a fortune, especially if finding the exact cause of the fault light ends up being tricky and involves trial and error. I'd take the quoted price for that with a pinch of salt, it could end up running into the hundreds on its own. The rest of the quote seems reasonable given the work being done.

The light went off so he couldn't do the test on it so I just got charged the £140 instead.
Driving home it came back on, ir just comes on randomly then goes off again so I'll have to take it somewhere else to get checked but at least it got it through the MOT.
