This is so unfair. The Cure's best album comes up against MM's best album, and probably against the Manics' best album too (but I'm not sure on this one). And Abers calls this a poor group
Pornography for me because it's simply brilliant and so far ahead of it's time. I also find this lp helpful particularly when I'm feeling depressed and need reminding that I'm not alone and everything will be alright, like. Heavenly music.

Every single song on The Lonesome Crowded West is superb, literally doesn't drop in quality during its 1hr 15m or so. It's impossible to just listen to one song off this album.
