Battling performance from Dover, Orient worth a draw I'd say but our keeper saved everything they didn't put over the stand :bg:

The referee gave Holman and the rest of their team everything [expect possibly a 1st half handball] but we held out

Considering the amount of complaining Guiseley players did last weekend that comment is hilarious
Not saying other teams don't, just that at our place Sutton stood out for it. The last two seasons Dover were the masters but they showed none of it this season.

Frustrating to lose that, Dover's keeper rightly named MOTM after he made a string of good saves.

Jake Caprice once again switched off at the back for us and allowed Mitch Pinnock to score a well taken goal late on. But we should've come away with something from that, we controlled large parts of the game and I thought Dover only looked threatening from set pieces.

Nothing wrong with the playing conditions, pitch was bobbly but very much playable - Can see why Dover keep it that way with their style of play!

Well Done to all those who made the effort to get the game on, I wouldn't of wanted to come back midweek, some you win, some you don't.

wouldn't say we deliberately keep the pitch that way
part time groundsman, weather & a lot of recent home games doesn't help

How’s Caprice doing for you this season?
I assume he still has his favourite move: does a stepover, then tries to go to the byline. Never ever cuts inside. Most readable player I’ve ever seen.

He started off well, but since his red card away at Torquay back in November he's not been as good.

A bit of a luxuary player I find, he has his uses going forward and can deliver a good cross as well as beating players with his pace, he has around 8 assists I think this season, but he doesn't track his runners well enough or at times defend well enough for a right back. We brought in Sam Ling who for me will more than likely take his place.

Yep he still does that step over before going to the byline.

Ling isn't amazing defensively. His biggest attribute for us this season was his forward play. He was part of a pretty terrible back 4 but I felt he was too weak at the back post when defending.

Was the exact opposite for us! Ran down the wing, did that silly half chop Cryuff thing, cut inside and ran into traffic.

Ha maybe he tried to change after that. Got to the point if the opposition full back was quick he would offer nothing. As said about he’s quick and has a decent cross on him but not great defensively.

Yeah, you can tell he started his career off as a winger. He's not a great fan of defending.
