Didn't Aldershot secure their playoff spot at half time?

Disallowed goal.
Never a red.
Stone wall pen at 2-1.

You'd think there was an agenda there.

Genuinely cannot wait forward to Aldershot being given 5 penalties against us in the playoffs.

Good solid away performance today. We were under the cosh early in going 2-0 down, but battled back well in the second half and deserved to equalise. It was good to see a strong referee too.

Worst ref all season.... that was disgraceful he should be sacked for that performance.

Up there with the worst I've ever seen, the man shouldn't be allowed near a football pitch ever again. I was right next to Buxton's challenge and it wasn't even a foul.

That was satisfying. Mostly on top against a tidy Borehamwood but like last week couldn't buy a goal. Then Omar comes on, first touch is good, second sets.up Doidge and then he's first to a spilled ball to seal the points. Superb.

There's strong and then there's just complete guessing. Not so sure you'd have been happy if the decisions hadn't all gone in your favour?

We got two players sent off that Cox thought was ridiculous - Aldershot fans booing the ref at the end!

Basically, the referee is always a wanker to somebody.

Thought we were poor for lengthy periods of that today - we didn't do the simple things well enough, should've been out of sight at 3-1.

However, it's about the points on the board - Tranmere apparently played like lions in the first half today yet find themselves out of the title race.

There was I thinking with 2 red cards, this would be the week the Aldershot fans aren't moaning about the ref

Still 14/1 ffs

Tranmere aren't out of it though. Going to be plenty of twists and turns.

Absolutely gutted after that. We were streets ahead of Bromley prior to the red card, but the sending off and an injury to Wallace meant we ended up with two forwards playing centre midfield. Even with ten men, with an orthodox line-up we would have seen the game out. Mellon will be criticised for not having a defender on the bench.

The referee was an absolute berk. The Buxton challenge was right in front of me: both feet were on the ground, studs were not showing, he won the ball. Probably not even a booking. Added to that, he disallowed a perfectly good goal from Cook and denied Tollitt a stonewall penalty.

That sorry series of events has ended our title challenge unfortunately. Just need plenty more performances like the first half and we will have a decent chance in the play-offs.

Garry Hill will probably come out and say he's got no idea how Woking didn't get a point and although they played well, particularly in the opening 15/20, their kick and run game plan didn't create *that* much I didn't think.

In all honesty, we were pretty average today and didn't do the basics that have got us to the top of the league. Passing was very sloppy, the ball wasn't sticking up front, we weren't pressing particularly well and we gave away too many free kicks.

Wasn't really sure what to make of us at HT. We never really settled, but after 20 minutes we kept Woking at arms length and threatened to get in 2 or 3 times.

First goal was a Rhead header from a good Wood cross, but then we concede straight away from a set piece, which snuck in. Southwell misses a penalty, which was a good height for the 'keeper and I didn't even see the challenge tbh. Ginnelly scored with his first touch, albeit a deflected shot. Woking had two penalty shouts - both correct calls i.e. one was and one wasn't. Lovely goal from Rhead who made the Woking defender look stupid and just slowly rolling the ball into the far corner.

The big lad up top who scored for Woking looked good. Won most things against Waterfall and was a handful in the air and holding the ball up.

Woking actually didn't look too bad a side. They were slightly aided by us not pressing the ball high enough and giving away endless free-kicks but they gave everything and played at a good tempo with direct play that that will unsettle a lot of teams. Problem is, I didn't think they were very good at defending. They played this kinda weird narrow 4-1-2-3 with the ball and 5-1-1-3 without it.

Not sure Southwell is the answer for our system either. Unconvinced he can play up front on his own. Pretty average at everything and looks a poacher more than anything.

Remember the name: Omar Bugiel. Good win in the end, wore them down.

Wtf are Daggers doing at 14's though, do the bookies know something? Amazing value if not. Gotta be worth a punt surely.

I dont really know what to say, other than that failing to hold on to a 2-1 lead for 5 minutes against NINE men is shambolic!

Complete waste of time today. Rubbish team selection and rubbish tactics. Playing half the team out of position as well for no reason at all.

So unnecessarily self-inflicted.
