Sutton one up at Altrincham.

Wonder if that will twitch a few arses up in Hartlepool?

Challinor practicising trophy lifts. Lets hope it's not all for nothing.
Not really to be honest we only have an outside shot. Pressure is all on Sutton mate. Do they want this at all?

We made hard work of that game. A better team would have killed us off by half time like Wrexham did. Fair play for having the character to come back but we really need to play our strongest team from the start and cut out the silly mistakes at the back if we want to stay in the chase. Huge game on Tuesday against Chesterfield

Fifteen minutes making your lot shit themselves a couple of weeks back was it for the past five months, sadly. Long covid has really done him, for now.

Crazy three of the playoff hopefuls have lot critical players for the season in the last few days. Dealt fatal blows to us, Wrexham and Chessie, imo. It’s Hartlepool for the title, and Stockport to triumph in the play offs, surely.
Vassell our centre half still out with concussion after the assault by Woodson by the way

Barnet away for us tomorrow - we'll probably give them a first win in about 6 months (its the kind of thing we do)

Called it!

If anyone wonders why we've never been in the playoff race - this is why!

I actually thought Barnet looked a lot better than the table suggests (new manager bounce?) but we were starting to control the game before Fowler made a daft tackle in his own box and gifted a penalty away. After that we didnt look like scoring and Barnet saw the game out well

Great to see Pools clinch the title in style.

That is probably the best we’ve played all season. We’re already seeing a lot of improvement under Bassey after 2 matches and at the very least it gives me hope that the remaining matches against us this season won’t be an automatic 3 points for the opposition. Potentially bad news for Sutton Utd!

F*cks sake! We can’t even get being utterly useless right.

We also cannot make the play offs.

A sad day all round.

Well this is very dispiriting, I missed the fourth, which apparently was a Tony Thompson howler, the likes of which we haven't seen for a while, admittedly.

4-0 win for Sutton in the end. A perfect performance and a superb response to Tuesday night.

We looked confident and controlled throughout and after 3 games without a goal it was nice to see the cobwebs come off in a changed formation for the U’s.

Looking good now Jared.

Pools v Stockport in the playoff final looks nailed on. Has there ever been a bigger brotherhood fixture? Impossible to call at this stage but I fancy Stockport with a Rooney (pen).

Beat Solihoof in what should have been a bit more comfortable after they went down to 10, but as usual we completely switched off after that and scraped home. 2 wins in a row for what seems decades, our next 4 are all winnable KL, Barnet, Woking and Wealdstone, perhaps we might even finish top half.

Stockport county fans, what’s the crack with Jordan Williams. Never seems to play, is he injured or just not picked?

I'd say we definitely need to play Weymouth next weekend rather than fanny about waiting for the crowds to come back.

Aye that was my thinking, fuck the crowds, we're on a roll, momentum is building let's just keep winning, the last game of the season could be a dead rubber anyway the way things are going.

He’s started the season injured and been crap all season since.

We have often played with wing backs so that hasn’t suited him but he’ll off out on loan somewhere next season.

There's two ways of looking at it. Yep we're on a roll and need to keep winning but playing at the end of May with crowds could mean we don't shit ourselves at home in the play offs when crowds will definitely be in.

I'd say play it next week while we have a chance and momentum is on our side.

I'd agree with that, I didn't actually think we played that badly and we'd have got a draw if it wasn't for the daft penalty we gave you. Given the season you've had, credit is due for persisting and not taking the easy way out (*cough* Dover *cough*)

I’d back us to beat anyone in the play offs.

Pools were impressive against us last week and a 2-7 win is never to be sniffed at. But Madden is a playoff specialist. I just couldn’t call it.

Grimsby v Bristol Rovers in playoff final down here was massive.
