Roberts must be kicking himself.

Whilst I think we deserved a point, he puts that away and it’s a very professional away performance
They made 2 chances all night and had a long range shot tipped over, we made 4 gilt edged chances, if they all go in we win 4-3!

Nah, disagree. It would’ve been a scrappy and undeserved smash and grab against a pretty poor team (no offence).

Which is what you need to do now and again, obviously, but it’s how we set up for every single away game.

That was a carbon copy of a majority of Pools home games in our time down here, absolute crap, forwards are fucking hopeless, we can’t keep wasting the chances we do in games and expect to get anything from them.

Horrible flashbacks to last season and the season before and the one before and the other one that came before that.

We were playing with a real verve, tempo and energy. All but disappeared now as has any form of optimism. Honestly thought we might've turned a corner but we haven't.

Is this the worst forward line we've ever had?

C'mon buddy, you know there's always another corner waiting to be turned for clubs like ours. It was ever thus. :pmsl:

Game should've been done for Hartlepool in the first half but 2nd half it looked far too easy for us. Not sure if that was down to our lot upping their game or Hartlepool players giving up. Regardless, it's 3 more points on the board before we sign the whole league in January so I'll take it.

Easily I’d say, Bloomfield is just a lump, Oates doesn’t score goals, never has in his career, he is a 6ft version of Luke James, just runs around and Parkhouse looks absolutely rotten, he’s the worst of a bad bunch of strikers, I’d send him back.

Been down here 100 years and still not worked out there is no transfer window down here.

I counted 3 times he jumped under the ball, missing it completely and another 4 times he fell flat on his arse with no pressure on him. He makes Jake Cassidy look like Gabriel Batistuta.

You’re quite right. Turgid and dull away but soft centred and open at home.

Ardley can fuck right off and take Turner, Doyle, O’Brien and every other fucker who I’m sick of the sight of right now. Which is pretty much all of em.

Well that was a complete disaster..
Too ponderous a build up, no midfielders making runs behind the defence and a lack of width ensured that we only got one shot on target against a team that had been conceding 3 goals a match since the start of the season. You’d also think that we’d be starting the 2nd half in the same vein we finished the 1st, dominating possession and pinning Kings Lynn back to the edge of our area but instead we steadily disintegrated as a team in the 2nd half (when the stream wasn’t down for 10 minutes)
Oh, and Hooper’s penalty miss was Waddle-esque in how bad it was. Good thing we now have a large stand behind our goal.

The proverbial game of two halves. Stones the better side in the first, keeping the ball and playing nice football, had a goal disallowed for offside which seemed dubious. Second half Eastleigh totally up their game, pressed us all over the park and deservedly won. We knew our next four games would be a truer test of where we stand. Sutton next. Would take a point now.

Well, Shots didn’t get Devonshired as expected, Maidenhead were surprisingly un-physical and lacklustre, and seemed content with a point even when Shots were down to 10 ( Fondop red carded ,kicking out ). At least there were a few shots on goal, but a poor match, and, unfortunately poor streaming.

We looked dangerous and in control first half, Eastleigh looking laboured and making mistakes. They squeezed the game after the break and I thought we were very poor defensively, consistently forced into errors and giving the ball away. Seemed to coincide with wanting to play out from the back and ultimately struggling to get the ball out of our defensive third.

Criminal from us, somehow contriving to concede with just about the last kick despite having a free-kick just outside the Halifax box with less than a minute to play!

Can see pressure increasing on Ardley if we fail to get a result at Chesterfield on Saturday, given their last two results, from the supporters at least. Have to agree with some of the comments from my fellow Notts fans, we should be looking to put sides to bed. Instead we seem content to soak up pressure.

Since the opening day, we've only played teams in the bottom half. Next up Barnet on Saturday...

We need to sort the midfield out, JOB, Reeves and Doyle all a bit samey and means there’s a massive gap between them and the strikers. Roberts obviously helps, but frustrating to see Rodrigues as an unused sub when he was just starting to look good before the Covid outbreak.

Sam was a big positive, though, looked much fitter and played really well.

Wait....when did Aldershot sign Fondop?

He's had more red cards than goals in his career I think.

Darren Keates tactical masterclass last night but you won't hear a word about it because there's an agenda against him.

Indeed. Would like to see the lad from Barnsley get a start

Last week, non-contract terms. Played o.k. at Altringham. Bettemer now back from international duties, guess it’s goodbye. Looked a bit volatile, I must say.

Hes absolutely barmy but there are a lot worse strikers than Mike. He causes problems because defences don't know what he is going to do, and thats because he doesn't know what he is going to do.

Absolutely have to drop Doyle and play either Wolfe or Rodriguess. We sit too deep and go side to side rather than up and down. That midfield will cost Ardley his job.
As for Turner, Harrogate in the final showed he's finished and last night absolutely proved it. Graham should have come on , better by far.

Notts County should NEVER lose a promotion final at Wembley to bloody Harrogate Town, under ANY circumstances, but you did and now you have to live with it. FOREVER. :ds:
