ok - I know it's only Tuesday - but here goes with the weekend fixtures....
AFC Fylde (18th) v Yeovil Town (2nd)
Aldershot Town (20th) v Stockport County (8th)
Boreham Wood (9th) v Harrogate Town (6th)
Bromley (3rd) v Eastleigh (13th)
Chorley (24th) v Dover Athletic (15th)
Ebbsfleet United (22nd) v Woking (4th)
FC Halifax Town (7th) v Notts County (12th)
Hartlepool United (14th) v Dagenham & Redbridge (17th)
Maidenhead United (16th) v Barnet (10th)
Sutton United (19th) v Wrexham (21st)
Torquay (11th) v Chesterfield (23rd)
Solihull (5th) v Barrow AFC (1st)
AFC Fylde v Yeovil.
Yeovil need to win to try to put pressure on Barrow at the top whilst Fylde's next 4 games are against teams in 2nd, 1st, 8th and 1st and a bad Christmas really puts them back into the relegation mire. Fylde have only won 1 of their last 5 home games and Yeovil 2 of their last 5 away. Fylde are also without the suspended Jordan Williams. Looks like a draw or narrow Yeovil win.
Aldershot v Stockport
Aldershot are really struggling to score goals and low on confidence - the same can't be said of Stockport - AWAY banker
Chorley v Dover
Will Dover realise the train times have changed? Will they get there on time? Chorley need a win and their home form has been improving, whilst Dover are struggling to score - do they have a striker yet? - narrow 1-0 Home Win.
FC Halifax Town v Notts County
losing Jim O'Brian to injury in his 1st game back is a huge miss for Notts and Notts struggle to score enough goals whilst still conceding sloppy ones. Halifax have not won any of their last 5 home league games. This game can go either of 2 ways - low scoring draw or thumping Halifax win. Prediction(?) 1-1 draw...
Sutton v Wrexham
big game at the bottom of the table. Both teams are improving at present and the deciding factor may be the plastic pitch. Oddly i think this is the one match over Christmas that i think Wrexham will be happy with a draw given that they play Chorley home and away. Harry Beautyman could well decide who wins this match. 2-1 Home win, before Wrexham get 7 points from their 3 other Christmas games.
Solihull v Barrow
On paper the biggest game of the day is the televised 5.20 kick off where 2nd favourites to win the league Solihull come up against favourites Barrow. It's likely that 1 or both of Yeovil or Bromley will be level on points with Barrow when the game kicks off - but Barrow will have 2 games in hand - so a draw or defeat for Barrow won't be a disaster. However if Solihull lose they will be 10 points off the top and quite possibly out of the play off places. Solihull have won their last 5 home games, but Barrow have won 4 of their last 5 away and scored 9 without reply in winning the last 3 at Dagenham, Notts County and Maidenhead. Barrow won 1-0 away at Solihull at the same stage last year with a John Rooney goal. The FA Trophy matches midweek could be a factor - Barrow are only playing fringe players Tuesday night, but Solihull's replay is a day later on Wednesday and they played a strong team in the 1st match. If they play a strong team in the replay and either lose or it goes to extra time then back Barrow on Saturday.
