Promotion rivals will be dropping points one way or another. Let's hope we can get the win.

I was going to post my thoughts but since this is an obvious sockpuppet account I dont need to. Town fans feel free to speak on mine and all of our behalf.

We'll get battered by Halifax all game but will run away as 2-0 winners, and Wrexham fan twitter will start to take a big steaming dump on anyone who dared say anything negative about Saturday's performance.

I think this may be a tricky game, Alty will be bouyed by getting 4 away from home at the weekend and held Boreham Wood to a draw before that. I'd take the 3pt any which way tbh. Games start to come thick and fast around now don't they, just got to collect as many wins as you can, as obvious as that sounds, but I know what I mean!

We're all one account anyway so needn't bother.

Tough looking game for the mighty Pies but somehow we've got to get something from the game of we're at all serious about going up.

We always seem to do quite well at Boreham Wood even when they’re a useful team, so holding out hope we can pick up a win which would make the return over the two not too terrible.

Got to play with more pace and aggression than we did on Saturday. At least Burchnall recognised it straight away after the game - our style is great but if you’re not on it tempo wise that happens and we end up with 70% possession and a couple of hopeful punts from distance to show for it.

Expecting a tough game. Think Alty might just see it as "fuck it" and have a go.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Torquay got utterly battered by us today. After the first half I'm surprised they came back out.

They scored a brilliant free kick to amazingly get back into it.

But never have I been to a game in the last 3 seasons that I've seen Barnet so deserve the win.

Great following from the gulls only plus point
Shots in with a chance, then. Must say, Torquay’s results don’t look too great, and we surely must be revitalised by our unexpected win over Grimsby.
A win would be a big step in the right direction, but another loss could be disastrous. So fingers crossed, 2-1 Shots:bravo:

Shipping 2 goals against Eastleigh has to be the main concern you think? How come Cameron was on the bench, injured?

Three ex-Shrimpers in the Maidenhead team, two who came through the youth ranks in Acquah and Ferdinand. I'm expecting Sam Barratt (who I thought at the time was a massive mistake to let go) will tear us a new one. Pretty sure Alan Devonshire is still living round Southend somewhere or certainly still got his house there, so all in all this game is a nailed on Maidenhead win. If we were decent it'd be one of those smash and grab 0-1 but we're really not, we've not even reached bad yet, so I'll go 1-3.

Yeah, otherwise it’s a frustrating but not-too-bad 0-0. I think there’s an element of we are just going to concede goals to teams like Eastleigh from crosses if we’re playing four full backs in one team. Cameron has had Covid so don’t think he’d trained, should be back starting tomorrow. We’re a different team with him really, don’t think we’ve lost with him starting - not only is he our best defender by miles, he keeps scoring as well.

Slocombe also did himself no favours with an absolute horror flap for their second, makes the decision to try and get the young lad back from Sunderland as soon as we can a lot easier.

3 defeats in 18 games, here they are: Maidenhead, a last minute winner / Yeovil, a penalty / Solihull, we should have won by a street. We have some BIG players in our team, Green is a monster in midfield and Spence is his eager apprentice (anyone remember Jack Earing? No!) Slew is a workhorse for Billy Waters and if that's not working out Matty Warburton is slipping him in behind the defences with a stream of little passes, all game. We'll come at you from all directions, we have more than one player on both wings who will get around the back of your lads and cause mayhem in the box. You'll think you have us on the back foot but in a flash we'll be at your throats down your end again. This is Wild's Shaymen 3.0, we're not messing about, we are the Real Deal and we are ready now. Sleep well. :ds:

We've won 8 home games in a row since our opening defeat against Maidenhead. Wrexham unbeaten away from home. Somethings got to give I guess.

Hoping plenty travel. A win would be brilliant and cement our play off spot further.

Wrexham are more than capable of coming and turning us over though. Hyde's bound to score I've already accepted that.

Not heard enough from Chesterfield fans on this forum, so another easy game for them while the rest of us promotion contenders play each other.
It’s only the 3rd time we’ve played them this season so far I don’t know what the issue is

I expect us to win but nothing is a given in this league and staying grounded will be what keeps this run going, any complacency and we will get taken to bits by someone I’ve no doubt.

That said our reserves should be looking for 3 points tomorrow. Hopefully Oyeleke is available

I'm sure Slocombe was well thought of not long back, didn't he had a good game vs us playoffs? I think you'll do it tomorrow though tbh, Boreham are solid and reliable but susceptible to teams with skill and pace to get around them I reckon

Slocombe is fine, prone to the odd rick but in the top few at this level. The lad we got in from Sunderland when he got injured is just really, really good. Different level, particularly with the ball at his feet, will go far.

Could be a feisty game for us at Bromley given some of their fans are still unbelievably salty about the ballboy incident

I am not as downbeat as some Blues fans at the moment. After Friday I saw some green shoots of improvement on effort and what we were trying, and for 87 minutes we competed against a top 3 side. So at last we do have something to build on, but a still a poor side.

Hoping for a signing to boost the squad in time for tomorrow. Certainly at least one before Saturday. Three ex Shrimpers, as has been mentioned, but as I say, I am not as pessimistic and am going for a 2-1- win.

Wrexham are certainly not unbeaten away from home…

Big test for us this, a new striker which makes me feel better and obviously McAtee back but I feel he won’t start. I worry we’re slowly reverting back to the kind of Hurst side we were years ago and not the one we thought we’d evolved into before this poor run. Hopefully the win Friday boosts us.

I thought I read somewhere they were or actually now I think about was it that they have scored in every away game?

Apologies long day haha
