Stockport County.
If I'm Chesterfield I want to get back on the horse to be honest. Maidenhead have played the card for a reason. With Chesterfield in the cup the following week, the table could look very different by the next time they play.

I've very much enjoyed taking a look at the Halifax forum thus morning and seeing how shit we were, how Mullin is a mercenary and how 'Parkinson is a grade A pr**k'. Seems like they took the result well.
Football fans in 'taking late goal defeat badly' shocker.

Nowt we can do about it anyway.

Anyway, we’ve played Maidenhead and Dover 42 times already this season haven’t we? Maybe they’re getting bored

This Paul Wild or whatever his name is hasn't taken another defeat to us well. Sleepless nights there after that one.

Dominated the game without the ball
Sounds like he's talked himself out of a job!

Well, that was an enjoyable ending!!

Zero to hero for PP, awful tactics to start Mullin on his own up front with Hyde and Ponticelli on the bench....Poor midfield again and very poor wingback play. Halifax were the better side but we fell behind to the first chance either side had well into the second half, then he threw caution to the wind a little and we only had two defensive players on the pitch for the last 15 mins, and it worked.

What a difference a player like Mullin makes though, it was by no means a gimmie chance but once JP slid it to him there was no way he wasn't going to score.

As a aside, what was with your full back Warren? I don't think we had given him any abuse and he cupped his hands at us when you scored....He got a lot of stick after that and it's always sweet when something like that comes back to bite a player.

Finally, absolutely made up to see CJ score for Stockport, even stops me being upset that they won 5-0.
Really was a fine margins kind of game. First half effort from Wrexham that was a yard wide goes in and there is potential for them to take a bigger foothold in the game. Likewise the post that we hit second half goes a yard the other way and then Wrexham winner likely never happens. We were worthy of at least a point but got less, shit happens in football. We continue to give more than a good game to sides with cash to burn. If the current table positions were the same at the season end. We have had a successful season the same can't be said of a few others. A win last night would have been great, a defeat is frustrating but not terrible.

Reality is that as well as ourselves at least three from Wrexham, Stockport, Chesterfield, Notts and Grimsby are still going to be stuck down here next year. That's a hell of a lot of money wasted to still have to do away games at Eastleigh on a Tuesday night.

Indeed. Understandable that apathy would kick in amongst home supporters and not exactly the perfect conditions to go to a game on a Tuesday night.

Yeah can’t be easy committing to watching that each game, fair play to any of them.

Is he lying or did we dominate a lot of the game?

Dominate is strong, you were the better team until you scored and we made our second subs but we were hardly backs to the wall.....just a lot of sideways passing before a long ball.

Well known this forum plays a major part in the title race.

I'm still to this day convinced I psyched Gary Johnson out last year. Sadly we Rusked it and let Mike Gray from Sutton Rovers go and win the title.
B2TF basically handing the points to Wrexham last night. Have heard that Parky did his team talk dressed as the Doc.

Paul White at Halifax. Fair play to him, doing a good job. Now a household name amongst all football supporters.

Good of Maidenhead to postpone our match. Hopefully we'll have some players back from injury by the time we play then. It's all falling into place.

Between us and Aldershot for that last relegation spot.

Altrincham away Saturday. Be happy if we score.

Think it will come down to 5 games over late December/New Year. Barnet, Weymouth, KL, Aldershot and Dover. 3 wins needed min

It’s one of those features of this league that someone, generally one of the smaller or part-time teams with less depth, absolute plummets from near the play-offs or mid-table after Christmas.

Looks like us at the moment then, we’ve bucked them trend and gone for it early.

I'm not panicking yet. We've plenty of time to sort ourselves out, we've made a lot of appointments I'm sure around Feb time we will pick ourselves up.

I’d be very surprised if you went down, albeit you’re very lucky to have fallen in during a year when there’s one fewer relegation place to start with and effectively only two with Dover’s plight.

Southend and lucky are not something heard in the same sentence for the past 3 years but yeah I guess we are. It would be a total disaster if we went down. I don't think we will....

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )

You have enough about you to pull away to mid-table. Dover are gonners, so only 2 places to concern the other dross teams. Kings Lynn and Weymouth or us for me, the other contenders seem to have enough grit to survive.
