He's been poor right from pre-season. Cost us a goal in his last game and as he's so inconsistent he's now a liability.
Notts fans love him, or did but I thought we should have released him in the summer as he'd lost his spring and any confidence to come off his line.
He’s the new Ross Fitzsimons. ‘Perfectly ok’ for this level until he isn’t.

Unbelievable. Well, it’s not really, is it? What a league!

Hate to get all Rob McElhenney but that really is ridiculously tinpot. If the pitch resembles a bayou, don’t wait for the ref to take one look at it and call it off.

Be glad to see them relegated. Absolute shower of a club.

Theyve got a good chance of going down on a negative points tally.

Stockport County.
They should have sent them down last season, said it at the time. I knew they'd never recover their points deduction enough to stay up. They've made even less of a fist of it than I'd thought though. NLS has 21 teams too, made too much sense to send them down there and even the leagues up. They're just stinking the league out.

it’s the blatant lying that gets me - looks like Notts actually rang them at half eleven ish so we could put something out because we can see the forecast and they were like ‘it’s fine, nowt to worry about’. An hour of light drizzle later, the ref turns up and is all ‘sir, your pitch is under water’.

I've always tried not to be elitist about small part time clubs with limited resources but there comes a point where the likes of Dover and Kings Lynn have to be fined for not trying hard enough for getting games on or for not being honest in saying the games are going to be off.
I wasted five hours and £11 share of petrol money on Boxing day when Kings Lynn couldn't be bothered to even cover the goal mouths with tarpaulins and have the groundsman turn up on the day.
End of the day National League is classed as elite sport which comes with a responsibility to act like an elite club.
A lot of Notts fans have now been shafted twice in a couple of weeks with not so much as an apology from these clubs.

Our first game of the year, a couple of new signings in the team and retaining Jacper means our defence has a younger more mobile look about it. The strikers have been doing well all season, for a bottom 5 team. I am pretty hopeful of a good result today.

Will cheer me up after finding out I have a kidney stone in the week.

(Those damn Stones lol.....)
We get blamed for everything round here

I don’t think fining them achieves much, there just needs to be some sort of due diligence on clubs being able to exist at this level (that’s not elitist, I’m sure similar things happen below NL as well). I just don’t think Dover have the ability to operate in NL let alone compete on the pitch - them being in such an extreme location of the country only exacerbates things.

Kings Lynn literally not having a groundsman isn’t a cute quirk of Non-League like decades gone by, the professionalism of this league has increased since then.

I think hurting their pockets focuses the mind. Something should be done because I think both Dover and Kings Lynn saw the Notts fixture as a cash cow to be milked.
The cynicism of the owners towards travelling fans needs a level of punishment that will make them think long and hard.

Just seen pictures of the pitch. Despite having covers this time, that game was off in all but name by 10 am this morning.
Tinpot c***. That pitch was never ever going to be playable yet they wait until 1:45 to call it off.

Standard at this level. In my experience, we never, ever got a local ref to call a game off early as they never had the balls, even though the pitch was clearly unplayable. They would always defer to the match day official no matter how inconvenient it was to travelling teams and supporters. One particular case I can remember is we were due to play Gillingham and after over night temps of -7 and the pitch being frozen solid, then having 4 inches of snow dumped on it, we got a local ref in at 9 am to call it off but he bottled it and waited for the match day ref who turned up at 12.30 took one look from the stands and said game off. Unfortunately both teams and sets of fans had already set off.

Points deductions should be the punishment if clearly little effort made. Should have contingencies for local refs to inspect beforehand

Not just in our league, Col U's game has just gone, waterlogged pitch at 2.35pm, bet the team who was beating them today and their fans aren't that impressed.

They do it on purpose, if you're a Notts fan you would have known that was coming. Luckily Dover and Kings Lynn will both flushed down the shitter soon enough, never to be seen again.

What do they gain though? It costs them money.
